SNO is a traditional Belgian style white ale. It is a light, yeast-infused beer with orange peel and spices to make this ale thirst quenching and refreshing. The lower alcohol content and light body ensure ultimate drinkability.

Had at Brewed in Michigan. Poured from can. Rich golden color, good head. Excellent representation of a Belgian wit. Good balance of yeast, banana, hop.

16 oz can purchased last month for $1.99 at Siciliano’s (MI). Poured into a Belgian snifter. Attractive can with a clever name. The beer poured an orange-amber color; hazy with a small, weak head that soon reduced to a thin partial top coat and a ring, but continued to leave decent lacing. Aroma: spicy and yeasty Witbier; a bit funky and fairly fruity but not much banana. Taste: carries over the traits of the aroma, but a nice dry tartness is the dominant quality. Well chosen light amount of spices with a citrus, wheat and malt base. Feel: Smooth, dry finish; light-medium body; medium+ carbonation. Overall: Nicely tart.

Sample at Suds on the Shore festival. Pepper, citrus and Belgian yeasts in the taste and aroma. Light easy drinker with a pepper twist.

can. Golden with one finger head. mild spice. pretty average American wit style beer. Missing some of the complexity you’d get from a true Belgian.

16oz Can. Thanks Sean! Aroma has a mingling of soaps and spices, lavender and orange peel. Flavors are a little tough out of the gate, there’s a sharp bitterness in the finish and a bit of oxidation up front. It smooths out and reveals a strong juicy hop flavor component, which is nice, but out of place. Not my favorite style, but not the worst rendition ever. Excited to try a new Michigan brewery with some pretty cool packaging.

On tap at Duggan’s Royal Oak. Fairly standard Belgian White. Muted flavor. A bit hoppy and citrusy on the nose and initial bite. Fairly carbonated.
