2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - JAN 11, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2005 I liked the brownish-red look and foamy tan head of this beer. The aroma was nice and malty with some good roasted malt tones to it. Good in the mouth, if slightly watery, with rich roasted malt flavors, caramel, and a nice hop counterbalance. Robust malty finish.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 JPDIPSO (4957) - Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 14, 2008
Dark amber color with a modest off-white head. Pale malt and light fruit scents. Flavors match the aromas. Likely the best of the ones I’ve tried from here.
1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 michael-pollack (4884) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 1, 2007
Draught: Faint aroma of Marsalla wine. Poured golden in color with a small white head that diminished. No lacing. Clear. Sparkling. Malty flavor. Not well balanced malt and hops. Light body. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Sweet malt finish. Poor brew.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 thedm (4126) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 2, 2007
This draft brew from the brewery poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a transparent softly carbonated copper colored body. The mild aroma was brown malt and malt hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The thin flavor contained notes of hops brown malt and mild astringency. Not one that I would likely buy again.
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 badgerben (4116) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 21, 2005
Amber color with no head. Oh man... aroma and taste are just like soiled cardboard from a kennel that they wrung out into the fermenters. Ugh.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hotstuff (3249) - Indiana, USA - OCT 28, 2009
Draft at Millrose Restaurant, South Barrington, IL. Small white head with good retention, transparent copper body, no carbonation noted, and one ring of lacing. The aroma was malty, sweet and lightly hoppy. Ditto for the flavor. The mouthfeel was smooth and this is a light bodied beer. Drinkable, but not outstanding.

Draft sampler at Millrose. Good, lightly "ambered" malt smell. Some Vienna malt flavor, but very mild in hops. Merely average.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Walt (2448) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 15, 2008
Pour is faint yellowish amber with a thin white head...smell is lightly grainy and sweet....taste is also grainy and sweet with a faint faint citric bitterness....
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 frankenkitty (1958) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - DEC 6, 2005
Served as a copper/amber with a holding, off-white head that left a solid sheet of creamy lace. Hopcit aroma comes across light & flowery with citrus over mild malts. Delicate and intriguing. Flavor falls from hoppy-goodness to butterscotch and sweetened iced tea. For an ale this seemed lagered. Creamy mouthfeel. This was a strange, enjoyable beer, and my favorite of the day.
