Thick, cola-colored with major carbonation clinging to the sides of the glass. A thin head fades to a tan film. True toffee aroma with light coffee notes, kind of like a musty Kahlua. Flavor is mostly malts, but rather weak and vinegared with a dry finish. A sad porter.

Dark Brown Coloring with Sandy Ring. Immediately Seems Watered Down...Bakers Chocolate....Sweet, But Thin Body and Kind of a Dud.

Dark brown color with a thin head. Chocolate aroma with some maple syrup as well. Sweet malt taste with a lot of sugar. Very bitter finish. Not bad.

Ah, a brewpub porter. Fingers crossed, here we go... Deep, semi-hazy mahogany in color. Aroma takes on a unique interpretation on the style, consisting of chocolate covered bananas, brown sugar and vanilla extract. Light, sweet and smooth as it hits the palate. Generic cocoa powder partners with whole wheat toast. Hops and acidity seem to be a little astringent and separate notions at times.
