Cask, gravity at Merton Summer Beer and Cider Festival, 17-07-09 Pours the most wonderful gold with beautiful head developing and the clarity and condition of this beer was superb, the best looking beer of the day. Wonderful alluring citrus nose. Taste is really crisp and refreshing a lovely fresh citric bite. Nicely bitter and drying towards the end, this was also one of the big faves at Merton it went down a storm. A7 A5 F7 P4 Ov15 3.8 Earlier Rating: 8/18/2008 Total Score: 3.9 Cask at The Wellington, Sheffield, ’The Peoples Republic of South Yorkshire’ on the Valley of Beer Day 16-08-08 This I understood to be the house beer in this great little pub, although I’m convinced that I’ve had Baby Git somewhere else, the barman said that they take half of each batch brewed which would indicate that it will pop up elsewhere from time to time. This was probably the overall favourite beer of the day, not quite top for me but between the four of us it was either first or second favourite. Quite a stunning beer, great oily hoppy nose, wonderful bitter bite, great punchy hoppy aroma, light straw colour, nice ice creaminess quality about this belter of a beer, that with just a 3.9 rating I wonder whether I’m being a little tight with this one?

Light amber, clearish body covered by an off-white lasting head. Caramelly, dried flavours where leafy, floral and mineral overtones mostly dominate this overly dry ale. Light-bodied, salty, very dry finish. Lacking a bit in substance.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Out Of The Vaults, Leicester. A golden coloured ale with a whitish head. Lovely citrus hop aroma with good grapefruit. Taste also hoppy and grapefruity, and has a great body. Excellently balanced, and to think I nearly flagged this as I thought it was Milestone not Millstone. This is a MUCH better brewer.

Cask (handpull) OOTV Leicester. Several pints of it whilst waiting for maeib. And I didn’t mind at all; in-yer-face Chinook, just the right side of oily hop citric, incredible floral aroma, clear straw body, frothy head. Gorgeous.

Cask conditioned @ South Western Arms, Soton. Very lively, they had to leave the beer for about 5 days after tapping before as it was too lively but my pint still had that almost prickly mouthfeel. Very pale. Underwhelming citrussy hops with a pleasant mild malt sweetness. A little bitterness in the finish. A pale beer that feels like it should be super hoppy but isnt.

Cask, Whey Pat Ale Festival, St Andrews. This beer had barely passed my lips before it became known as Tiger Piss. Light goldy yellow with a thin white head. I was expecting a lot, but all I got was overpowering bitterness in the nose. This lasted into the mouth, with a really one dimensional bitterness that got you at the back of the mouth, and on the swallow, all the same. Might be some citrus there, just a bit overpowered with hops.
