Hand pulled at the Black Eagle, Birmingham. Golden beer, with thick foamy head. Absolutely delicious stuff. Hoppy, with a wonderful balance of lime, floral notes and grass. Sweetly sour. Perfect balance. Really, really gooood.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’10. Gold with white head. Wow, I really enjoyed this one. The Chinook hops really stand out, grapefruit, citrus and very quenching, but also with good balance from a biscuity malt. Excellent.

[cask at Cloisters, Edinburgh] Blonde beer with a great white head. Aroma of sweet peach and pineapple. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy - almost syrupy. Extremely fruity on the palate - passion fruit and peach. Very nice indeed [07042012] (similar review to Benj, but done independently!)

Cask (handpull) OOTV Leicester. Several pints of it whilst waiting for maeib. And I didn’t mind at all; in-yer-face Chinook, just the right side of oily hop citric, incredible floral aroma, clear straw body, frothy head. Gorgeous.

On cask at Cloisters. Pours a blonde colour with a decent white head. Aroma of pineapple, caramel, barley and yeast. Similar flavours with a tasty passion fruit hop character. Mouth-feel is a little oily with mild carbonation. Nicely balanced alcohol and caramel malt backbone. Not bad at all.

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Well, this beer came out of nowhere. Pours clear yellow with a fine, white foam head. Perfect golden ale aroma: crispy straw, light citrus and faint, doughy bread. Medium sweet flavor, lemon zest and rind, fresh straw, light grass. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Crisp finish with light, tangy citrus, lemon, straw and hay, lasting grassy bitterness. An exceptional golden ale.

Cask, gravity at Merton Summer Beer and Cider Festival, 17-07-09 Pours the most wonderful gold with beautiful head developing and the clarity and condition of this beer was superb, the best looking beer of the day. Wonderful alluring citrus nose. Taste is really crisp and refreshing a lovely fresh citric bite. Nicely bitter and drying towards the end, this was also one of the big faves at Merton it went down a storm. This was probably the overall favourite beer of the day, not quite top for me but between the four of us it was either first or second favourite. Quite a stunning beer, great oily hoppy nose, wonderful bitter bite, great punchy hoppy aroma, light straw colour, nice ice creaminess quality about this belter of a beer, that with just a 3.9 rating I wonder whether I’m being a little tight with this one?

Cask conditioned - handpump - Out Of The Vaults, Leicester. A golden coloured ale with a whitish head. Lovely citrus hop aroma with good grapefruit. Taste also hoppy and grapefruity, and has a great body. Excellently balanced, and to think I nearly flagged this as I thought it was Milestone not Millstone. This is a MUCH better brewer.

A Mes rate: cask at the Welly. Pale gold with a very thin white head. Big hops all round. Seems to be lots of the three Cs here. Sweet malt base supports the pine and citrus and grass really well. Good bitter kick in the finish. Somewhat of a win but a little way from awesome. Earlier Rating: 1/3/2008 Total Score: 3.7 A Mes rate: Cask at the Crown Inn. A lovely clean gold with a decent white head and some spotty lace. As with everything at the Crown this was in tip top condition. Bags of citric fruit in the aroma. Lemon, peach and grapefruit fest with some very sniffable floral and grassy hops. Same again in the flavour with some lovely dusty bitterness and a bit citric hop hit in the finish. Very en joyable indeed.
