Bottle @ home, courtesy of pepsiedcan. Thanks for the chinchill bronnust bottle, brah! Pours a deep brown appearance with a thin dark brown head. Burnt sugar, dark chocolate, light toffee, slight anise, slight fruity aroma. Kind of goopy and coats the teeth. Black licorice, brown sugar, plum flavor. Millstream had a good thing going with their German beers and it just seems like they’re flushing it down the shitter with all this stuff that they don’t know how to brew.

12oz bottle. Opaque brown-black body. Foamy, glass-rimming beige head. Rich chocolate caramel aroma, deep malt tones...pretty nice. Sweet and full bodied, with a little trace of heat under the big chocolate tones. Remains full drinkable despite being full bodied, Has some interesting fruity undercurrents. Pretty solid beer overall.

Pours an opaque black with a creamy tan head that mostly dissipates. Aroma is coffee and chocolate. Very creamy with thick viscosity. Very flavorful with the taste of coffee, burnt malt and chocolate on the front end with a nice dry bitterness on the finish. A well made porter that pairs well with blackened mahi mahi on sourdough.

This was decent. Black of course, with standard Baltic porter flavors and some ash. A little anise flavor. Medium palate. I applaud their attempt at this uncommon style.

Bottled. Poured deep brown with a creamy, sticky beige head. The aroma picked up sweet, burnt coffee and cocoa notes with accents of figs and smoke.. a bit salty/minerally, but aiight. The flavor found burnt coffee and licorice notes with fairly sharp mineral and some dark fruity notes around.. finished tacky and bitter. Medium-bodied, scratchy, and quite bitter on the palate.. creamy carbonation.. just an OK feel overall.

Aroma is dark fruit/grapes and a hint of acidic fruit. The flavor is dark fruit, toffee, earthy notes and an acidic finish.

aroma is fine: bready malts, toasty nuts, charred coffee. appearance is great: pours a coca cola with a creamy khaki head. taste leaves much to be desired: bitter coffee, bitterer coffee, bitterest coffee. some sweet caramel in there screaming for attention but is barely noticeable. whatever chocolate is there is bitter and masked by the coffee. palate is ok, but it finishes with a sickly artificial/medicinal flavor
