Bottle. Pale gold with a bright white head. The nose is a grainy with a little bit of citrus. There is also hay. The taste is grassy with a little bit of oranges. There is also some bread crust in the sweet finish. This is decent, but would be even better if it wasn’t so sweet.

12oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear, straw colored body with a finger-width, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a pretty nice lacing throughout. Aroma is light with some pale pils cracker malts, a light bread, a touch of grass, and a few citrus florals. Flavor is similar. Pale, bready pils malts with a light floral citrus. Finishes with a nice, light grass and some bready pale malts. Very light bitterness that helps this somewhat dry before leaving a shorter aftertaste. Light body and somewhat crisp, moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent pils. Has a light grassy, floral citrus and some pale, bready malts offering a touch of sweetness. Nothing special, but easy drinking and unoffensive.

Bottle from my main man Andy. Pours bright clear golden with a fluffy white head. Nose of fresh white bread, a decent amount of sweetness (honey), and delicate floral/grassy hops. Taste brings out a bit of an added cereal element. Clean, light, and refreshing after the two cocktails I had before.

Draft. Poured a clear golden color with a bubbly white head. Pale malt, noble hop, corn cereal aromas. Light to medium bodied and a bit too sweet. Tasted of cereal grain, honey, and a bit of noble hop.

Tastes and aroma is similar to a helles/pilsner hybrid, with the bread flavor mixed with the pilsner dryness. A good pilsner overall, Millstream has been making some good beers as of late.

12oz bottle. Slightly hazy yellow-tan. Thin, soapy head. Mild aroma, some fresh lemon and doughy malt. A pretty nice Pilsner, somewhat yeasty medium body. Solid noble hops really capture the essence of the style. Not quite World Class, but a well executed offering.

On tap @ Millstream. Light yellow appearance with a white head. Light German hoppy, lager nose. Light grainy malty flavor on mild German hops. Easy drinking but not all that exciting of flavor.

Bottle. A - Clear, light straw gold color with a large, light, foamy, whispy, white head. Pretty good retention and a really nice lacing. S - Pretty much what I expected. Some sweet graininess and grassy, herbal, spicy hops (Saaz heavy). A slightly sweet and musty fruitiness (orchard fruit) is faint in the background. Nice but nothing special. T - The first few sips were nice with a nice bready/doughy flavor with a good grassy Saaz hop balance. This quickly faded and became dominated by a musty hayish malt. Dull slightly spiced bitter hop also there. A strange faint orchard fruit with almost a slight tartness. M - Thin body with average carbonation. A little to thin with a drying finish. D - The first couple of sips were nice, but this isn’t really a beer that I would want to drink a couple of. Notes: Not the best offering from Millstream. Dominated by a musty and bitter flavor and a slight strange fruitiness. I liked the first couple of sips and then it went downhill. Overall just average or slightly below.

Picked up single 12-oz bottle from Brennan’s Country Farm Market in Brookfield, WI and one from the brewery in Amana, Iowa. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a fine film and white ring. Aroma of light bread malt, flowery and citrus hops, and some light fruit. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation, semi-sweet fruity, bready malt and a mild bitterness. Finish is semi-sweet at first, then a lingering mild bitterness and a herbal aftertaste. Quite identical to the regular Millstream Pilsner but with some sharper hop bitterness.
