3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 BeerKurve (219) - - FEB 15, 2013
Dark hazy orange with a brownish head. Smell has a moderate piney hop. citrus and yeasty smell. Taste has a malty piney hop taste along with some yeasty notes and a dry resin aftertaste. Palate is a bit on the watery side but also has some mild carbonation. It’s a good beer, considering I only paid a dollar for it.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2012 Bottle poured into glass. Poured a nice auburn with a off white very light brown bubbly head. Smell is orange citrus with malty, hoppy, grassy notes. Light biscuit with minimal citrus taste. Definitely getting the hops towards the back of the mouth. Overall an easy drinking light to medium body ale that I would try again.

Bottled. Poured clear, lighter orange with a short, tight-bubbled eggshell head. The aroma picked up biscuity malts and orange meat with citrus and grassy hop accents.. soft and well-balanced. The flavor found biscuit and bready malts with light citrus and grassy bitterness plus a fair amount of graininess around.. finished with sweet and bitter orange plus residual biscuit. Light-medium bodied with filling carbonation on the palate.. the carbo kept it from flowing smoothly at times.. overall a solid drinker.

Big specialty malt presence. Hops are mainly c hops making it a stereotypical but decent pale ale.

Bottle. Hazy amber body with a fizzy, off-white head, rapidly diminishing. Strong raw grain aroma with notes of herbs, earth and a hint of pine. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Taste of husky grain, citrus, orange, tart apple. The sweetness dries out in the finish. Average.

I enjoyed the brew a lot for an IPA usually not my style. I have to agree with the commercial description for this beer that American IPAs are becoming hop monsters and this beer was nicely balanced.
I poured it into my Lion stout tulip glass this produced a dark copper colored beer with a small, quickly dissipating 2 finger head. There was good lacing throughout the sampling. Aroma consisted of light citrus hops and a very strong malt. The taste was dominated by malts up front and then a very slight hop bitterness. I glad that I have four more to drink.

A hazy orange-brown beer with a very small beige head. The aroma is musty, citrus, and pine. The flavor is floral, pine, citrus, and surprisingly malty.

12 ounce bottle from pepsican. Thanks! Pours a hazy amber color with a thin frothy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted malts with a faint floral hoppiness. The taste is toasted caramel malts with a citrus hop finish. Medium bodied. Decent,
