COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale Ale's on the coasts of this country are turning into hoppy monsters, but our beer is more mild, and about balance. It has enough bitterness to match the maltiness provided by the pale malt base. It gets its citrus zing from extensive dry-hopping with Cascade hops. This beer was first made in a few small test batches in 2003. The response was so incredibly positive, that it has worked it’s way into a year round beer. A hoppy IPA in the central plains... how exciting!

In trade with ketchepillar, 12 oz. bottle poured into shaker- poured slightly hazy darken caramel, nice off white-tan head stayed around for quite awhile. Aroma of light hops with malt overtone, very appealing. Hits the mouth with a thin-medium body, while the hops are very noticeable they are not overpowering and are balanced with malt, finish is a touch of sweetness. It may have been aged, but I likey!!!

The hops are light, but biting in character to make for a nice uniform personality. A bit metallic. Mouthfeel is smooth and full.

Bottle, notched with August. Probably best by? Aroma of toffee, coffee, overripe fruits, and dry-hopped notes, citrusy as it warms, mango even. Flavor brings out more bitterness from the hops, but is quite pleasantly balanced. Malts become toastier. Sort of like a revved up ESB. Not too shabby.

Bottle courtesy of bu11zeye. Highly carbonated. Yellow orange pour. Very pleasant aroma. Has some fruit with a bit of spice. Nice taste. Grainy with wheat tones. Pretty good!

Dark amber color with a nice creamy head. The nose hits with some pine hops. Plenty of hop bit there, but not overwhelming. The flavor is a bit like something else. Not quite what you’re used to with an IPA, but much more mild on the hops, but in a good way. Still stronger than a pale, but not trying to kick you in the face with the fact that it’s an IPA. Again, piney hops here with less noticeable malt character. Mouthfeel is bubbly and full. An all right beer, but not stand out amazing.

Bottle - small foamy head, hazy dark orange color, fairly balanced aroma and flavor - decent hop taste with a sweet malt backbone

Pours a transparent copper orange with a spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of semi-sweet caramely malts and fresh piny resiny hops. Body starts lightly caramely malty sweet with a crisp bittering and flavor hoppy presence before a crisp bittersweet finish. A decent IPA.

Amber color out of the bottle with an attractive off white head that left sticky lace on the glass. Light biscuity nose with some citrus hops. Very easy drinking beer with strong malty backbone and orange and pinapple notes. Orange zest finish.

Draft at the brewery tasting room. Nutty hop nose with some chewy malt (dog food) notes as well. Similar flavor, with some nutty, vegetal hop flavors, mildly leafy but fresh, with a little bite on the back. Heavy malts throughout, more than most IPA, but has some decent Cascade citrus leafiness in the finish.
