2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear deep amber-copper color, just a bit towards the brown side. Slight head, minimal lace, absent any real aroma. Decent caramel malt flavor and easy to drink, but there is a spice and alcohol presence (both of which linger into the aftertaste) that seem a bit out of place.

A majestic thanks goes out to caneyehavefourbeers, hehheh, for this one! Has a sweeter candy armoa. Orange brown in the bottle without any sediment. Slight haze. Head fades to nothing after a few. Initial taste and impression is way higher than the 4.9% listed here. If it was me, Iíd say about 6 perhaps even 7! Somewhat thicker oily viscosity in this baby. Strong and wayward. Props across my tongue like an iron ore laden barge being driven by a tugboat against the flow in the ohio river someplace around beaver county. Wew, a little more personality than I care for in a vienna. Finish is almost medicine in nature. Yowzer, I think iím gettin dizzy near the end of this bottle. Rude at times on the way down the throat. Some hops in there lurking around on the end. Comes off somewhat like a spice or veggie brew. Iím glad I got to try this unique brew!

Had a nice amber color and a good head but the aroma and flavor had strong diacetyl (butter) character which hurt overall quality.

This beer sampled at Brew Ha Ha 2005: The guy poured it for me in a hurry and it left a good head for this type of beer. It smelled really good almost fruity but, it all ended there. The taste was not good at all

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Dark ruby pour with very minimal head. Aroma is asparagus and cough syrup. Flavor is more like a mix of veggies with some red cough syrup and a bit of caramel. Viscous finish with minimal carbonation.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with Ughsmash, thanks Jason!) Given that the beer poured with a small, crackliní, fizzy head, and itís fading as quickly as soda bubbles, thatís where Iím starting. Unfortunately, the head is already completely dissipated, so all is left is a glass filled with hazy, dark ruddy amber beer. I think the head was off-white in color, it came and went so fast, I didnít even get a good glipse of it. Tasting the beer, itís like drinking a generic brewpub amber: sweet, sugary, caramely, floral, moderately bitter, and very cheap tasting. Itís not a very enjoyable beer when first sipped, and itís a total mess by the finish, and I canít avoid making a face of displeasure each time I allow more of this beer into my mouth. Itís not horrible on the first sip, or on sips following a good swish with water, but after a few sips sit on my tongue for awhile, yuk, what an awful plastic aftertaste. The nose is less offensive, but maybe thatís because the beer is less aromatic than it is flavorful, even when I swirl the glass. Aromas of sweet, caramely malts, and oddly enough, more than just a hint of alcohol. Body is medium, but though the beer isnít hugely sweet and there is a good amount of bitterness to cut it anyway, the beer still sticks on the palate like gum on the sole of a shoe. Despite looking still and lifeless, the beer has a sufficiently carbonated mouthfeel. And wow, swirling the glass canít revive even a hint of foam atop the liquid. This is just bad beer. It tastes awful, looks awful and doesnít smell that great either. Iím now off to complete two chores: dump the rest of this beer, and then immediately brush my teeth. No, check that, Iím brushing my teeth first.

Pretty mediocre stuff. Reminiscent in taste more of a bock than a vienna. It isnít great.
