3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had this several years ago, remember it as being middle of the road as far as APAs. Mildly malty and balanced by the hops, not a flavor blast, but while decent I can see why they donít still make it.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Amber to orange with a thin off-white head, slowly fading. Aroma of citrus, sweet malt and lots of caramel. Taste of citrus, sweet malt and mild hops. Light palate thatís a bit vegetal. More like a watered down amber than an APA, but it was probably a bit old since itís retired and hasnít been rated in almost a year.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Poured just slightly hazy medium orange with a short, sticky, well-retained cap of beige head. The aroma picked up grapefruit, caramel, and fresh pine with a lovely balance to it.. quite fragrant and enticing. The flavor wasnít far off.. caramel and grapefruit meat join up with a pinch of honey at the core.. light-to-moderate bitterness from pine, earth, and grapefruit.. sweet fruity finish stamped with pine bitters. Medium-bodied with rising bitterness toward the back of the palate.. a little rough on the finish with a dry and bitter feel.. otherwise flowed well. This could be a very good daily drinker.. bummer itís apparently retired.

Taste: Pale malts with a flash of toffee sweetness. Light citrus hop flavor, though not much bitterness ever presents itself. More pepper spiciness. Mild finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: So-so! Though, itís one of those beers where one is enough.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a transparent orange amber with a thin wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet, grainy pale malt and a touch of piny hops. Body starts slightly sweet and earthy with some mildly resinous bittering and flavor hops toward a crisp, bittersweet finish. Pretty drinkable and well-balanced but not as assertive as some other APAs.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Brennanís Country Farm Market in Brookfield, WI. Pours a semi-clear coppery amber brew with a thin and fast dissolving off-white head that has some lacing and a thin white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus zest, and a touch of apple skin. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of dry caramel malt, citrus and piney hops with a slight fruity background. Finish is slightly dry and bitter with a fruit aftertaste. Nice touch.
