A true "Flussiges Brot" or liquid bread. Malted wheat is carefully blended with the traditional malted barley, and brewed with special hops to create a "Summer Fest" beer. Light and zesty in itself, the beer is served in a tall glass with a slice of lemon.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2008 12 oz bottle, Oct. 10, ’08. Worth a revisit, now that I have the experience of a few more wheat beers behind me. Golden pour with a little haze, a very brief and fizzy head, then nothing. Light malt smell with a bit of bread yeast in the mix. Taste is okay, but lacks the fine effervescence of a wheat beer. Some grains, not very smooth. "Liquid bread" is right, I’m afraid. Notes of wheat malt not easy to distinguish. But it probably was better from the brewer’s tasting tap.
Original rating: Nov. 5, ’03. 6-4-7-4-15, total 3.6. Draft, at the brewery. Thinking back, I believe this was the first microbrew I ever had, way back in the 1980’s. Today’s pour was a nice-looking, heady sample, with very little haze and a nice fizzy wheat flavor. An easy, pleasing beer.

thank you very much to pepsican for courtesy tossing me this rew. some cooked broccoli. herbal vegetal dirty dough. faint muddied wheat. taste better than aroma, but some cooked vegetable notes are still offered. outputting, but not terribly offensive. just kinda offered. somewhat biting carbonation. not particularly drinkable.

12oz bottle 9/28/13 (Hy-Vee Cedar Rapids)-Pours a slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of wheat and citrus. Taste of the same with some bread. This light bodied brew was just another American style wheat.

12 oz bottle from Hy-Vee Muscatine. Pale orange and slightly hazy with a small white head. Aroma of bready malts, orange peel, lemon zest, banana and herbs (coriander, clove). Similar flavor, mildy sweet with a light herbal zesty bitterness and a touch of spices. Light to medium body, a little thin with soft carbonation. Not bad, pretty easy to drink.

12 oz bottle. A. From Iowa. Thanks to John M!
Hazy golden colour with a small white head. Yeast, wheat and some sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is bready malt, wheat and some mildly sourish yeast. Drinkable light beer.

Very solid beer but nothing special. Looks like a budweiser in color with the haziness from the wheat. Good festival beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Fratto. Pours a fairly clear golden color, although I left the yeast in the bottle. Like carbonation. Aroma is typical of that at the wheat beer, with citrus notes much grains and bread. Flavor is tasty with wheat notes and a lot bitter fruit with a slight bitterness and finish.

Pale yellow, slight haze short to not much head. Sweet light floral and lemon,a step up from budlight platinum(which aroma was actually somewhat decent) this beer reminds me slightly of that. With a smooth bready taste it has some floral lemon tart qualities to it,medium/full body.Somewhat bland and refreshing though slightly sweet..For its abv its fairly flavorfull/sessionable good with or without a meal in the summer. Decent, nothing to come back to,too soon.
