8th December 2011 Cask at Pigs Ear. Hazy pale gold beer, little white head. Light dry palate. Very low carbonation. Very light pale malt and just a forensic amount of hop. Some floral notes rescue it a little but it’s bordering on insipid.

Cask, The Salmon, Leicester. Golden with a bubbly white head. Aromas are caramel and hay with lychee and pineapple. Creamy oak with low pine notes. Dusty yeast with grapefruit and lemon. Flavours are sweet, clean lager cereal malts with pineapple and dry, woody notes. Grassy and fairly herbal with a dry, crisp low citrus finish. Close to being a lager. Pretty good.
