COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Milliacus is available in both bottle and keg.
Milliacus is brewed according to a traditional method of the Bellovaques region, in Milly-sur-Thérain at the heart of Beauvaisis, on land belonging to Louis Bourdon, the Count de Clermont, a descendant of Saint Louis, famed for his bravery and devotion. Louis de Bourdon took part in numerous crusades, from one of which he is reputed to have brought back the recipe for a famous beer. But like his ancestor, Dagobert, a little absent-minded, he must have lost it in his castle's moat...
Medaille de Bronze, Paris 2005.

Countbeer (4369) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - OCT 3, 2012
Bottle: Nice firm plop and there is a very nice clear darker orange amber colored beer with a vast thicker but small and slow disappearing (into. ) white/off white/ashy head. Smell is very nice, pleasant for the nose: malts, barleys, vinous, toffee, wood, hops, earth, hint of bourbon Taste is nice malty/barleys mixed with toffee, wood, raisin, spices, light to medium bitter, cream, prunes, light vanilla, some slight hints of syrup/molasses while it is not sweet. Nice nose, nice body but the aftertaste is a bit weak, guess if this was stronger or more present in a delicate way it would have scores a 4 or higher. There some hints of malts, raisin, orane, light yeasty and some bitter and spicyness. Low to light medium carbo, soft (light) creamy mouthfeel, a good medium body and a creamy texture. One of the few good Biere de Garde that I have had.

DeanF (1687) - Nunavut, CANADA - SEP 4, 2010
Wonderful appearance, dark ruby-amber body and solid reddish-beige head. Aroma is a complex mix of barley, malts, fruitiness, grains. Quite refined, much more than your usual French beers. The aroma starts as barley, with a middle of malts and finishes with a spicy alcohol finish. Extremely well blended and balanced - I’m impressed.

75cl bottle. Lightish ruby-brown in colour. A classic northern French ambrée in the same mold as La Bavaisienne but richer, sweeter and ’older’ - not an exciting beer but genuine garde in character.

75 cl with impressive old school cork. Very dark for a biere de garde, with white head. Although the beer is dated to 2011, it tastes like an old beer. But it is a very good one, hugely better than Jenlain or Theillier, the best of this style I’ve yet tried.
