22oz bottle purchased from Top Shelf in Hampton. Poured black with no head. Slightly sweet and slightly sour. Not sure the bottle we got was fresh or properly handled, it seemed a bit off. Just OK.

pours dark brown with a veru nice beige crema head, good retention and lacing. sweet roasted maltiness, coffee beans, strong coffee and bitter chocolate, sweetness - molasses and burnt caramel, lightly ashy and smoky, hint of roasted acidity, wood, metal. light carbonation, medoum body - oily and very creamy and smooth; sweet yet assertive resinous-coffee finish. almost sticky burnt rolled oats. rich and tasty sweet stout.

Pours jet black with medium beige head. Very nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, very slight stable. Taste is of coffee, chocolate, bitterness, sugar, very faint ashes. Palate: Full bodied. Soft-medium carbonation. Overall: Pretty good in the morning. Nice. Niiice.

Can (12 oz) bought @ Winooski Beverage Warehouse. Split 2-ways.
Appearance: Black with a medium thick and easy to revive creamy brown head and good lacing.
Aroma: Roasted malts, caramel, vanilla, herbal presence and light ashes.
Taste: Similar to the aroma, but more expressive. Caramel, roasted malts, vanilla and light ashes. Sweetness level is moderate. Light bitterness.
Palate: Meidum to full body. Medium carbonation. Silky mouthfeel. A tad creamy too. Roasty finish.
Overall: Very tasty oatmeal stout and quite decadent for a 4.9% abv beer. Interesting interpretation of the style. Good balance. Loved it.

Pours black into a tulip. Mocha head with medium retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Chocolate and espresso aromas. Thick and dry with sweet hot chocolate upfront turning to licorice before the lasting espresso finish.

Bottle from Un Dun. Bottle filled completely tot the lip. Black with tan ring and a little lace. Coffee chocolate and dark bread aroma with only a hint of fruit or oat tang. Rich roasted coffee and chocolate with some very mild fruity sweetness and roasted woody earty smoky ashy bitterness. Full body. Seems like it could use a touch more internal carbo. Not sure if that is a function of the overfilled bottle. Also have no idea how old it is since I’ve recently purchased some ancient and gross beers at Un Dun. Anyhow, very good, could have been excellent.

$5.99 for the 650 mL bottle purchased from Top Shelf Brews. To over-sized snifter, it pours a mahogany-tinted dark rust brown with which a thin-ringed beige head barely even a fingernail in length. Aromas of ash, green cardamom, sorghum molasses, firewood, milk chocolate, and sweat. Tastes the same with the addition of DME, stale coffee, and roasted corn. Pine needles, oats, cloves, and cotton experienced at swallow. Was surprisingly spicy - cinnamon, cloves, and star anise - at its perplexing finish. Overall, I had fun with this stout. More than I was expecting.

In short: A typical roasted creamy oatmeal stout. Good execution of a standard style.
How: Nitro-tap at brewpub.
The look: Black body topped by a medium tan head.
In long: Nose is big straightforward pleasant roast, nothing more, nothing less. Taste is pretty much what you can expect from a roasted nitro oatmeal stout. Burnt grainy oatmeal, lactic notes bringing a milk chocolate sensation, light coffee notes, green herbal hops. Some bittersweet black chocolate in the after-taste. Full creamy mouthfeel. Typical example of the style, I feel like I’ve had a beer like this 100 times before and I could have another 100 and not complain. And despite all the talk lately on the TV I guess I really don’t understand what people mean when they say New-Hampshire is a swing State because the brewpub staff told to put my pants back on.

Tap at Milly’s in Manchester, NH. Very dark pour, nice head. Roasted malts with some lactose sweetness. Decent body, but a bit thinner than "full". Solid nonetheless.
