Our award winning ale is a traditional sweet stout. Rolled oats bring out the flavor and richness. It is full bodied and a meal in itself.

Pour is black with thin tan head...smell is a little roasty, rather boring...taste is just some weak roastiness...little watery....

Drank at Milly’s Tavern in Manchester, NH. Black color with a brown foamy top. Roasted coffee and raisin taste. Smooth stuff. I thought it was oatmeal flavored? I didn’t taste that at all. It should be called Milly’s Raisin Stout.

Moderate roasty malt aroma with a chocolate character and some raisin-like fruity esters. Opaque brown-black with tan head that recedes slowly to ring. Raisins and roasts play nicely together in the mouth with plenty of malty sweetness. Medium body is somewhat slick in texture with low carbonation. Sampled at the brewpub with dirtymike, MartinT, muzzlehatch, Rastacouere and Volgon.

New England Road Trip Easter ’05 with MartinT, tiggmtl and Rastacouere, beer #20. Small sample at the brewpub, also in the company of Volgon and brewer Dirtymike. Near-black, oily-viscous body with a lasting head...dark, roasty nose, chocolate and licorice...very sweet body, balanced-just-by espresso...smooth body, could be fuller.

Dark brown body is topped by a lasting beige head. Very malty aroma with ample roastiness, it remains very light, but there’s plenty of interested generated by the balance of the present elements. Unfortunately, the oatmeal doesn’t come out as muh in mouth. The body feels a bit too light while the nutty flavours come out both very sweet (chocolate spread) and a bit tart and vegetal.

Creamy roastiness and their incumbent dry bitterness play joyfully with the raisins bathing in molasses...Slightly vinous undertones blend well with the sweet chocolate malt flavors...A perfectly competent stout...

I do like this stout. Short white head on a dark body. Malts make the beer, and it is balanced with a nice hoppy aftertaste. Perfect for winter drinking (it’d be even better on a 6-inches of snow day like today)...

Thin white head, very dark in appearance. Excellent coffee finish. Nice and full tasting. Love me some oatmeal stout!

Deep brown and hints of ruby in the appearance. big nose of chocolate malts, roasted mocha, oatmeal, and quite robust. Great aroma. A bit thin, but nice coffee and bite of oats/grains.
