Gravity, Coalheavers Arms Píboro : Startlingly flavoursome considering the gravity. Pale, aromatic and interesting. Bold hoopy start with a malty finish

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2009 Cask @ Pembury Tavern, Hackney Straw coloured. Crystal clear with a tight white head. Apricot, peach and mango aromas, attractive hop burst on the tongue, lasting bitterness and a surprisingly strong finish for the ABV. Good.

CASK @ Oakdale Arms, Harringay London N4, on 3rd June 2009. Delicious refreshing session ale with a small diminishing white head, generous hoppy notes and fruity aroma, some nuttiness in the initial kick, and delicately hoppy dry finish. A smooth, slightly saline mouthfeel - this pint was Dionysus at its best.

UPDATED: MAY 16, 2009 Cask at Banbury Beer Festival Fri 23rd March. Light golden, fruity beer with plenty of hops and good citrusy (grapefruit) taste. A6 A3 F7 P4 Ov15 3.5 Had this again Cask at The Royal Blenheim, Oxford, 16-05-09 Pours clean gold, white head, crisp, dry a strange aroma which smelt a little sicky, strangely this wasnít off putting and Iím sure that I could describe it better but rating to my phone whilst chatting to friends sick was all I could think of. Quite refreshing, simple decent beer, some citrus, like this A7 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Cask, Pembury Tavern. Fresh citrus aroma, cinnamon, musk. One of those beers that smell like something that would make nice soap. Mild sort of dull bell-toned hops give way to an incredibly delicious toasty note that lingers amazingly long. If the sort of muddled hop profile didnít dull the stunning malt character, this would be something truely fine. And not bad as is.

Poured a clear light amber with no real head. Aroma of soft malt and citrus. Medium to weak body, flavour of orange and lemon over the malt with a refreshing finish.

Cask at the White Lion, Norwich, "Boxing Day Expedition" crawl, 26th Dec 08. Golden amber with no head. Honey sweet and then dry & floral at the finish. Standard weight. The hops get out onto the nose too. Nice and refreshing.

Cask Handpump at the Babington Arms JDW, Derby 15/08/2007 Some wheat aroma. Small white head. Clear golden coloured smooth on the palate and slightly citrus flavoured with some dryness in a crisp and bitter finish.

Well balanced, good looking, hops predominate without ever becoming too assertive. Apricots and fruit on the nose, and unusually for this gravity a lasting and complex finish.
