Handpump, The Pembury, London: Biscuit brown to amber with a creamy head. Fruity nose with a mild Golden Syrup note behind some herbal hop notes. Watery woody-herb flavours with some mildly astringent tannins keeping a gentle malt sweetness in check. Simple, rustic, and nice enough.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2007 cask @ pembury festival 07. Amber with a small white head. Hoppy nose with nuts. Sweetish nuts at first, but the malty undertones shine through and dominate. Smooth medium palate with more carbonation that usual. Well balanced and drinkable.

A Mes rate: Cask at the Pembury. Ian hit the nail on the head, straight forward but balanced and quaffable. never going to be a big scorer in any department but enjoyable all the same. White wine hint in the aroma, citric hops in the flavour.
