mkebeerparty (10), , USA Jul 21, 2008 I’m not a huge fan of this beer: it’s a little darker for an amber and is a little too malty. I can see why others like it though: it has a somewhat fruity aroma and is a strong beer although relatively smooth phishpond417 (1162), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 11, 2008 Pours a nice amber body with a large head. Nice retention that brings back the froth again and again. Caramel, and fruit in the aroma and flavors of caramel as well. A pretty tastey brew, but a little too malty. Skyview (2657), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 19, 2008 Last beer sampled at the Wisconsin Micro-brewers Beerfest in Chilton, Wisconsin. (hick!) From draught, pours a semi-clear copper amber brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and thin white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, some grassy and citrus zest hops, a touch of fruity apples and some light spice. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors or rich caramel malt, some grassy hops with a touch of fruity pear/apple character. Finish is semi-sweet, some mild hoppiness that quickly disappears. A pretty decent session amber ale if I can get it here in Minnesota. shendrix (429), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Mar 19, 2008 A pleasant brown ale that is set apart from others of the breed with grassy notes, but otherwise a fairly standard rendering of bready malts and clover hops. esjaygee (687), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Mar 16, 2008 Draught at the Gasthaus. Nice dark amber color with pleasant aroma. Nothing good or bad about palate. Beer had nice flavor and I enjoyed this beer and would try it again.
