3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tasted 8/15/10. Sampler from the Brewpub. Filtered with a golden hue. Trace ring of white head. Aromas of bitter, earthy hops, grass and orange rind. Medium to full bodied with a great dichotomy between the bright and the bitter. Good bright citrus hop palate. Also a nice zesty bitterness. Flavors of grass, orange and grapefruit. Great mix of two different styles with more so on the English dry side. Solid brew!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This pours cloudy pale orange into the glass and is topped by a small soapy head. Bright citrus up front, this wanes to an earthy, grassy bitterness balanced by a slight sweetness. Soft but vigorous carbonation suits the light texture, making for a drinkable beer that is not at all watery. Some lemon notes come out in the finish as well as perhaps just a slightly overstrong amount of bitterness. This is almost a home run. I could see some slight adjustments making this really excellent.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at pub. Green hop aroma. Nice balance. Nice aroma. Tastes very similar to Solomon Juneau, but a little stronger. Nice lace. Hazy amber. Not materially better than Solomon Juneau. Scores better mainly because of the aroma. Not bad. Cask qualities.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a hazey orange copper body with a nice moderately sized white head. Plenty of lacing on the glass and citrus fruit that bubbles up through this highly carbonated brew. Tight, crisp hop flavor followed by a sweet and bitter battle to the finish.

Nice hop smell and light golden amber color. The taste is similar to most Ipas, more bitter than normal.

On tap @ the brewpub: Pours a hazy orange gold with a white head. Aroma, citrus and pale malts, some floral notes as well. Flavor was very similar to the aroma, decent beer.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A deep-hazed dark amber with red highlights (that could have been from the stage lights...) and a creamy cap that laced all the way down. Heavy hopcit aroma with noticable sweetness and grapefruit, but not much else. BIG, sweet malts in flavor with BIG citric hops. IPA-worthy, if not IIPA-worthy. A little watery in the mouth, but a really awesome beer.
(A previous rater mentioned that the Ale House seemed more interested in being a "hot spot" than a "craft brewery". It seems to me that the owners (if not the brewers) like to let loose and offer/enjoy some entertainment. Thereís absolutely nothing wrong with that. I am one beer drinker that likes to enjoy a good beer with some great live music. Iím sure it would be a totally different experience had I visited during the day, but I donít regret my visit nor begrudge the management for wanting to draw a crowd on a Friday night.)

Poured from 12oz bottle, pours hazy amber with fluffy white head, has sweet but yet hoppy aroma to it, has flavor of malt over hops, nice example of a pale ale.

4.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
I really liked this beer. In fact, I had several last night at the Ale House. The picture of the beer on the left does it justice. The Pull Chain is a orangish/brownish and pours with a slight bit of head on the top.
The taste was my favorite part - very hoppy with some malty aspects. It leaves a similar aftertaste as a German pilsner with a little more earthy tones. A great beer to drink all night or to enjoy on its own.
