2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Copper color with a moderate head of taupe bubbles. Caramel and toffee aromas, some bits of earthiness in the background. Lots of toasted malt and nut flavors. Seems like there are tannins. Earthy bitterness. A nutty ale which for me is a bit too dry.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Had the brewpub. Nice color but like other Milwaukee Ale house beers it was a bit lacking. I am determined to go there once and be pleasantly surprised. But not yet. Serving: Tap

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tasted 8/15/10. Sampler from the Brewpub. Mildly hazy with an amber brown hue. Spiraling off-white head. Nice thick lacing head. Nutty, malty aromas with a hint of toast. Medium bodied with a nice mineraly, nutty flavor. Mildly astringent. Flavors of caramel, toffee and mild faint fruity esters. Moderate effervescence and a crisp finish. Good stuff.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Milwaukee Ale House. Poured deep copper with a creamy cap of beige head. The aroma was sweet with candied caramel and lesser fruity notes.. light touch of coffee and drier spices on the back. The flavor found toasted nutty and medium-skinned fruits paired with a touch of sour fruit skin and tannins.. finished with an odd array of sourness and sweetness that didnít do much for me. Light-to-medium bodied with more sourness than it needed on the palate.. dried out at the end, which was good.. just OK flow.
