COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Milwaukee Brewing Co’s take on a classic European style, Baltic Porters are the stronger lager fermented cousin of the classic London Porter. The higher strength and cold fermentation help to create a smooth less fruity porter rich in roasted malt flavors and aromas. The Baltic Porter from the Milwaukee Brewing Co has deep brown hue with a light caramel head. Toffee and milk chocolate dominate the flavor with subtle hints of dried fruit. One month of aging in Bourbon Barrels imparted a layer of vanilla and oak.

Tap as admiral stache. Dark brown pour with light brown head. Smells of toasted malts, chocolate and slight butter(?). Tastes of the same with bourbon notes. Very good.

The 2012-2013 version of MKE’s baltic porter is dominated by vanilla sweetness from first scent to smooth finish. It pours to a lovely, huge head that lasts and lasts. A side note: I hate to accuse the brewer of enjoying its own product too much and perhaps not paying attention to all details, but MKE Brewing recently updated the name of this beverage and on the six-pack cardboard holder refers to it as "Admiral Stache" and the label on the bottle as "Admiral Stash." Considering how good the Admiral tastes, though, why quibble?

As Admiral Stache: A deep dark porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, smooth chocolate with mineral notes, figs and molasses. in mouth, a smooth coffee-infused chocolate mocha porter with fruity notes, a bit of ashes, a bit light, OK. On tap at Istmus Beer and Cheese Fest, Jan 19 2012.

Bottle poured a clesr reddish brown witha lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of carmel, oak, light fruittiness and light cola. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, light oak and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth finish. A very boring Baltic Porter, as well as a waste of Barrel aging.

Bottle courtesy o nuplastikk, thank you! Black color, thick brown head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of slightly smokey burnt espresso. Taste is highly carbonated dark roast coffee. Decent.

8/10/12. 12oz bottle thanks to cbfobes. Black pour with a small tan head. Lame aroma with milk chocolate and lingering roast. Light chocolate and coffee with virtually no bourbon. Meh.

Pours a deep brown/chocoloate. Thin white head. Aroma and flavor aren’t bad, but a bit mellow.

Great aroma and flavor. Many palate undertones of toffee, chocolate and vanilla. Nothing is overpowering. Very balanced porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Dark pour, but pours a bit thin and the head is minimal. Nose is pretty nice - roasted malt and a bit of charred wood. Palate is moderate. Taste is roasty malts, and a bit of cigarette ash. Unspectacular.
