1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 esoxangler (74) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 28, 2013
For me, undrinkable. Awefully strong malted taste with no freshness from any hops crispness or anything. Just a heavy, malty disgusting beer with that belgian clove and earthy flavor. I’d rather drink almost anything besides boxer lager.

Pours orange with frothy white head. Citrus on the nose with bits of bready yeast and alcohol. The classic smell of a belgian with some tangerine hints as well. Taste is sweet but also astringent with sour and bitter notes. Finishes dry and crisp to make for a delicious beer
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jstraw (1644) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Hazy gold, with decent, creamy, white head / Medium body, sweet, some sourness, decent balance with lightly bitter finish / Flavors of sour malt, banana, spice, and caramel / Below average.

12 oz bottle pours an almost clear red/amber with moderate white head and some lacing. Aroma has banana, spices, rye, and vanilla. Body is medium with average carbonation and a lively mouthfeel. Easily drinkable with nothing wrong, but far from one of the great saisons.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Lubiere (8239) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 26, 2013
A golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with peaches, light woody terpentines. In mouth, a smooth sweet saison with orange notes, ginger, decent. On tap at Istmus Beer and Cheese Fest, Jan 19 2012.

This is a nice saison; above average. It has a nice peppery nose and a citrus and spice flavor. Cloudy yellow appearance with super carbonation. Got this from Josh N. after the winter beer tasting. 2012.

Bottle. This is a beer I would give to someone new to craft beers. Very smooth but also complex. Orange comes through both in color and taste. I would love to try this again.

Pours a clear, slightly bubbly, red tinged gold, with a medium, finely laced head, disipatesquickly. Earthy aroma, with citrus, banana, spice. Flavor is initially slightly sweet, followed by a noticeable rye note. Medium body. Overall good session ale - the one I go to when at Milwaukee Ale House. The label description is pretty accurate.

bottle. golden with one finger head. strong citrus with slight tartness. light bodied, but decent flavor. virtually no funk, but decent for a cheap beer.

This one poured a hazy golden with a long lasting head. Malt flavors were grainy with a touch of cereal, I assume due to the rye. Hops were indeed citrusy with a touch of herb, making it the great saison/session beer it is. Very drinkable.
