Aroma is mildly spicy yeast, cream and a hint of fruit and malts. The flavor is citrus, berries/grapes, a hint of spice and a tart and malty finish.

On tap at Old Fashioned, pours a clear golden with a thin head, the aroma has some fruity touches and yeast, the flavor has a ton of barnyard funk with must, kind of dirty tasting, really didnít dig this one all that much.

Decent beer. Spicy and citrus notes. Wheat style which I don't like too much. For the style this is probably good

Dark gold color. A smell of belgiany yeast. Served at 60 degrees, I can appreciate the beer but the Belgian smell is a little too much for me. Itís a simple beer that may need a little more temperature control.

This beer has so many tastes coming at you. Some of them dont seem to mix with each other. But pretty good on a hot day like today.

Bottle into a 16 oz. snifter. Pours copper/orange with frothy head that dissipates somewhat quickly. Earthy, saison-appropriate aroma with hints of citrus. Medium-full body with some bitterness lingering.

A very very mediocre farmhouse. Still easy drinking and refreshing, and there is something to be said for that.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear orange gold hue with a thin white head that dissipates slowly. Aroma is spicy and floral. Think cloves, pepper, yeast and citrus. Taste is fruity and yeasty with some sweetness. Bananas, apples, lemon zest, biscuit maltiness, and YEAST. The strain really dominates the flavor. Good carbonation and somewhat dry finish with a hint of sourness. A nice interpretation of a Belgian.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Served on tap @ the Grafton Milwaukee Ale House. Appearance was mid-copper/amber with a nice medium frothy head that slowly diminished. Aroma was of fruit and hops. Taste was a mix of malt, licorice/prune/fruit and moderate hop finish. Palate was nice. Overall, a decent brew but I am not personally into Saisons that much.

Not quite sure Iíd call this a saison but I am no longer sure what in the hell a saison is now that American brewers have gotten a hold of it. Lotís of them taste like this. Itís a nice golden amber color but w/ only a short lasting head. Itís nose is mostly bananas w/ a hint of cinnamon and clove spice. Taste more or less follows aroma w/ maybe a bit of a floral lavender character becoming apparent. This is a bit sweet and sticky on the palate if you pay attention but itís honestly hard to tell do to brisk, biting carbonation--which suits the style unlike the sweetness. This is a pretty nice take on a Belgian pale ale, Iíd say. Whether it is actually a saison is a point of debate but it doesnít have to be a saison to be a good beer.
