Bottle to snifter. Lots of interesting notes on the nose. Lots of fruity notes. Peach, some orange, a little apricot. Lots of soft citrus. Some earthy yeastiness. Gold orange pour with moderate white head. Nice surprise on this beer. I enjoyed it.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orange-gold pour with an ample white head that quickly settles down. Nose is cinnamon, spicy rye, a bit of anise, and plenty of yeasty, rustic charm. Very nice. Flavor reminds me of tangerine marmalade spread over a tender, flaky biscuit and dusted lightly with fresh ground black pepper. Carb is slightly aggressive, and the body seems a little slick. The perceived sweetness in the finish holds it back a bit.
Interesting and enjoyable beer that I am glad to have tried. Great nose that I wish I could capture and carry around with me. Booyah body spray? Thanks, Matt!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear, slightly bubbly, red tinged gold, with a medium, finely laced head, disipatesquickly. Earthy aroma, with citrus, banana, spice. Flavor is initially slightly sweet, followed by a noticeable rye note. Medium body. Overall good session ale - the one I go to when at Milwaukee Ale House. The label description is pretty accurate.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear orange gold hue with a thin white head that dissipates slowly. Aroma is spicy and floral. Think cloves, pepper, yeast and citrus. Taste is fruity and yeasty with some sweetness. Bananas, apples, lemon zest, biscuit maltiness, and YEAST. The strain really dominates the flavor. Good carbonation and somewhat dry finish with a hint of sourness. A nice interpretation of a Belgian.

0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2013 For me, undrinkable. Awefully strong malted taste with no freshness from any hops crispness or anything. Just a heavy, malty disgusting beer with that belgian clove and earthy flavor. I’d rather drink boxer lager

Dark gold color. A smell of belgiany yeast. Served at 60 degrees, I can appreciate the beer but the Belgian smell is a little too much for me. It’s a simple beer that may need a little more temperature control.

As soon as I smelled it I knew I wasnt going to be something I enjoyed. Unfinishable for me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sharp aroma typical of Saison. Nothing special about the appearance but slightly darker for this style of beer. The rye flavor is neither overwhelming or unpleasant. Clean finish!

This beer has so many tastes coming at you. Some of them dont seem to mix with each other. But pretty good on a hot day like today.
