3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle as part of a variety pack. Orange brown color with a very slight haze and a creamy white head. Spicy yeast aroma with a hint of sugars. Flavor is more spice with a yeasty bite and a bit of creamy malt to smooth it out at the end. Light-medium bodied with a smooth palate. I don’t normally like farmhouse ales but this one goes down pretty nice.

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a bottle poured in a shaker. Pours slightly cloudy ruby. Very malty with an odd juiciness and strangely lacking in spice. Not bad but a little too weird to really recommend.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Great looking beer. Smells fruity and tart. This beer has a bunch of complex fruit flavors and spices, clove and stuff. A little dirty but good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours orange with frothy white head. Citrus on the nose with bits of bready yeast and alcohol. The classic smell of a belgian with some tangerine hints as well. Taste is sweet but also astringent with sour and bitter notes. Finishes dry and crisp to make for a delicious beer

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This one poured a hazy golden with a long lasting head. Malt flavors were grainy with a touch of cereal, I assume due to the rye. Hops were indeed citrusy with a touch of herb, making it the great saison/session beer it is. Very drinkable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Served on tap @ the Grafton Milwaukee Ale House. Appearance was mid-copper/amber with a nice medium frothy head that slowly diminished. Aroma was of fruit and hops. Taste was a mix of malt, licorice/prune/fruit and moderate hop finish. Palate was nice. Overall, a decent brew but I am not personally into Saisons that much.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUN 18, 2013 Lots of different aromas (spruce and pepper) and tastes (bitter and sour) going on here. Nothing overwhelmingly successful, but in MKE you always appreciate the effort!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a clear orange gold hue with a thin white head that dissipates slowly. Aroma is spicy and floral. Think cloves, pepper, yeast and citrus. Taste is fruity and yeasty with some sweetness. Bananas, apples, lemon zest, biscuit maltiness, and YEAST. The strain really dominates the flavor. Good carbonation and somewhat dry finish with a hint of sourness. A nice interpretation of a Belgian.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear, slightly bubbly, red tinged gold, with a medium, finely laced head, disipatesquickly. Earthy aroma, with citrus, banana, spice. Flavor is initially slightly sweet, followed by a noticeable rye note. Medium body. Overall good session ale - the one I go to when at Milwaukee Ale House. The label description is pretty accurate.

Bottle to snifter. Lots of interesting notes on the nose. Lots of fruity notes. Peach, some orange, a little apricot. Lots of soft citrus. Some earthy yeastiness. Gold orange pour with moderate white head. Nice surprise on this beer. I enjoyed it.
