3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz. bottle. Aroma of malt sweetness, big yeast profile with notes of honey, caramel, tons of clove, fruity esters, spice and some very faint grassy, herbal hop. Clear medium amber in color, no head whatsoever (although the glass was wet). Flavor profile shows some citrus, caramel sweetness, honey, plenty of spice, grainy malts, toasty and full, bitterness is mild overall, Some tea leaf flavors in the finish, amidst the clove and banana. Carbonation is low, somewhat thin in feel and with a medium body. Not like anything I’ve had before!

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
On draft at Milwaukee Ale House.
The beer is copper with a small, off-white head. Fruity aroma with some yeast, bread. Too sweet, no funk presence. This is a saison? Odd flavor, some stone fruits and unusual earthy flavors. Not digging this one. And what’s with the name? There’s nothing "Booyah" about this one. Move along folks...

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewhouse. The aroma wasn’t too great. Some decent flavors and spiciness to it, but pretty thin.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle, consumed on 6-14-14. Labeled as "MKE Booyah Farmhouse Ale." Fruity, sweet aroma features scents of caramel, orange, lemon, butter, farts, heavy cream just starting to go bad, vinegar, and dust. Some tonic water-like dryness in the aroma. Smells like boozy white grape juice or cheap, strong, Eastern European white wine. A touch of Band-Aid chemical quality to the smell. Pours bronze with a small amount of grayish beige head. Light to moderate effervescence. Nice color. Liquid is mostly clear but with a lot of very tiny suspended particles that create some haze. Herbal, spicy, vegetal, dry taste features flavors of lemon juice, caramel, alcohol, Christmas-y spices (spruce tips, pumpkin spice), pumpkin, black pepper, celery, apple cider, shortbread cookie with caramel or Twix without the chocolate, and spicy meat. Dull, dry aftertaste. Medium body. Frothy in the palate. Unremarkable palate effects. Booyah is a decent beer, but it probably could have used more time in the bottle to develop (I purchased this only about a week ago, and I don’t have any reason to believe it was sitting on the shelf for long). It is enjoyable beyond what this score likely indicates. It seems to have been crafted in a heavy-handed way, without a soft touch. It is also a little sweeter than ideal in aroma and flavor. Ultimately it is more interesting than it is good. There is a lot to it, but it doesn’t all come together all that well. On the other hand, it is far from a disaster.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
pours a murky rich gold with a medium lacy head. There’s some spice in the aroma, like coriander. Must be the licorice. Interesting taste. Complex. Slight citrus with licorice. Creamy mouth feel. Pleasant long finish. A pretty good beer.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Very zesty, with lots of citrus flavor, but felt fizzy and unsubstantial. Good on flavor, but lacks body.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From the 12-ounce bottle, this had a ridiculous pour. Its white head filled a good 7/8s of the glass and took a long time to calm down. When it finally appeared, the body had a rich golden color. The aromas (when it finally appeared) was warm bread with a touch of floral scents. The flavor had dull lemon and zest and was tangy, seltzer-like, with an underlying pale malt sweetness. The finish was quite dry. This is drinkable, but the pour alone makes it not worth the effort.

3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a bottle poured in a shaker. Pours slightly cloudy ruby. Very malty with an odd juiciness and strangely lacking in spice. Not bad but a little too weird to really recommend.
