Bottle as part of a variety pack. Orange brown color with a very slight haze and a creamy white head. Spicy yeast aroma with a hint of sugars. Flavor is more spice with a yeasty bite and a bit of creamy malt to smooth it out at the end. Light-medium bodied with a smooth palate. I don’t normally like farmhouse ales but this one goes down pretty nice.

On tap @ the Über Tap Room in the Wisconsin Cheese Shop, Milwaukee. Light amber colour. Lightly grainy and toasty, soft spice, low bitterness. Saison? Strange.

So, it is kind of a big complex big yeasty flavored thing and kind of a not complex sweet very fizzy thing. Fruitiness in either case, not sure if it was rather good or not so good. Serving: Bottle

Bottle. Big time clove and malty wheat in this. Pretty dense palate for the style. Lots of aroma and flavor - I’m digging this.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Great looking beer. Smells fruity and tart. This beer has a bunch of complex fruit flavors and spices, clove and stuff. A little dirty but good.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light copper with a tiny bit of haze - soapy lace - nose is very sweet, with strong apricot and mango notes, light rye, light starchiness - low carbonation - flavor is quite sweet - moderate apricot, peach, and very lightly musky pineapple - husky rye late - some starchy and doughy yeast - sweet and mildly spicy finish - not much of a saison.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2013 Lots of different aromas (spruce and pepper) and tastes (bitter and sour) going on here. Nothing overwhelmingly successful, but in MKE you always appreciate the effort!

0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
UPDATED: OCT 2, 2013 For me, undrinkable. Awefully strong malted taste with no freshness from any hops crispness or anything. Just a heavy, malty disgusting beer with that belgian clove and earthy flavor. I’d rather drink boxer lager

Pours orange with frothy white head. Citrus on the nose with bits of bready yeast and alcohol. The classic smell of a belgian with some tangerine hints as well. Taste is sweet but also astringent with sour and bitter notes. Finishes dry and crisp to make for a delicious beer
