COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Complex flavors and aromas come from a variety of sources. Barley malt and wheat help create a smooth body and attribute a pleasant golden hue while the addition of malted rye and oats brings out a solid earthy flavor. Czech Saaz Hops help create a citrus nose. What makes this beer truly special is the Saison Ale yeast strain used to ferment this beer. The subtle hints of tangerine, peach and licorice are the hallmarks of this particular yeast.

12 oz bottle. I find the label and six pack motifs pretty obnoxious, so they’re not starting off on the right foot. Aroma of apricot, husk, wheat, mild citrus. Flavor is dominated by an inferior yeast strain. Lots of peach and apricot flavors, mild huskiness. Some apples, some caramel. Better than I thought it might have been. Medium bodied. Pretty average.

A very very mediocre farmhouse. Still easy drinking and refreshing, and there is something to be said for that.

Aroma is mildly spicy yeast, cream and a hint of fruit and malts. The flavor is citrus, berries/grapes, a hint of spice and a tart and malty finish.

Bottle as part of a variety pack. Orange brown color with a very slight haze and a creamy white head. Spicy yeast aroma with a hint of sugars. Flavor is more spice with a yeasty bite and a bit of creamy malt to smooth it out at the end. Light-medium bodied with a smooth palate. I don’t normally like farmhouse ales but this one goes down pretty nice.

UPDATED: NOV 30, 2013 Hazy dark amber, frothy, sticky head. flavorful and well balanced, easy drinking. Nice spices. Some sweet some bitter. Not the best and juuust a bit off for the style, but very very good. Nice originality.

This one poured a hazy golden with a long lasting head. Malt flavors were grainy with a touch of cereal, I assume due to the rye. Hops were indeed citrusy with a touch of herb, making it the great saison/session beer it is. Very drinkable.

bottle. golden with one finger head. strong citrus with slight tartness. light bodied, but decent flavor. virtually no funk, but decent for a cheap beer.

12 oz bottle pours an almost clear red/amber with moderate white head and some lacing. Aroma has banana, spices, rye, and vanilla. Body is medium with average carbonation and a lively mouthfeel. Easily drinkable with nothing wrong, but far from one of the great saisons.

Hazy gold, with decent, creamy, white head / Medium body, sweet, some sourness, decent balance with lightly bitter finish / Flavors of sour malt, banana, spice, and caramel / Below average.

From a bottle poured in a shaker. Pours slightly cloudy ruby. Very malty with an odd juiciness and strangely lacking in spice. Not bad but a little too weird to really recommend.
