3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap @ Milwaukee Ale House, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Nice amber hue. Aroma of hops is second only to the palate punch you get from the bitterness. WOW! This is one spicy meatball! Hopped to the max.
Not a slammer. One has to sip this. If you’re looking for a sweet tasting light beer, this aint it!

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Deep orange pour with off-white head. Nose is sweet caramel and vegetal pine hops. Sweet caramel malt upfront, lightly toasted, with more vegetal and somewhat minty hops. A little slick and heavy on the palate. Pretty gross.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can. Pour is a hazy golden with foamy white head. Aroma is weak hops, flavor is even weaker, kind of stale hops. Really nothing special.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft at the Ale House. This is a dark amber, rusty beer. DRinks with a sharply bitter edge, but suffers from a terrible, off-putting mashiness, coming across like a bit of sour orange. (#5147, 7/5/2013)

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can from Joe and served in my GI IPA tulip: Pours an amber hue with a great lasting head and above average lacework. the aroma has very light dankness, some citrus and pine along with plenty of bready and caramel malt notes. A bit soapy as well. The taste is restrained bitterness, light candied fruit and some toasted bread with slight sweetness from crystal malts. The mouth feel is smooth and quaffable. Really a tad underwhelming in this day and age of rip ur face off IPA’s... more akin to an APA than IPA.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A bread-like aroma suggests malts that never show up -- just average bitterness. Relieved there were just two of these in the variety pack.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
16oz can at Miller Park. Pours a dark amber color with a tan head. Aroma is lightly hoppy, pine, a little bready malt. Medium on the palate with average carbonation. Flavor is sweet, malty, bready, caramel, some bitter pine hops, with a light bitter finish. A nice beer, but an underwhelming IPA.
