COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full bodied, orange hued ale. A variety of toasted and caramel malts create a nice backdrop to the aggressive citrus and floral hop notes.

Bottle poured aclear orange amber with a lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of bread, earthiness and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of bread and earthiness with a smooth earthy finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pleasant floral aroma. Medium bitterness from the hops and a good hop flavor. The bitterness does not linger though like some IPAs. Tastes better on tap than from a bottle. The best brewery tour we have been on.

12 ounce bottle bought near Detroit. Clear coppery with a white head. This has a caramel nose with pine and floral hop notes. Sweetness is high. First sip is tasty. A nice little hop bite with plenty of caramel malt. Citrus hops with floral. A hint of cinnamon is a nice touch. I like this beer. It is not really complex but is tasty.

Single bottle from Binnyís Build-a-Six rack. Nice copper IPA color with a thick, slightly orange-ish head. Slightly citrus and pine hop smell. Taste is up front with hop bitterness. After a thousand IPAs, it gets hard to say what makes one different from the other, but this does have a slightly larger malt backing, even if it does support a pretty standard hop balance. But as a year-round beer, you canít expect too many non-repeatable variations.

UPDATED: JUN 18, 2014 Aroma is pine, citrus and sugar/malts. The flavor is grapefruit, berries, citrus, bready malts and a bitter finish.

Amber body with a small white head. The aroma is all malt, lots of caramel, toffee, and buscuit. There is just a hint of floral hops. The flavor is similar, mostly sweet. I assume this is somewhat old, should probably rate again.

Bottle. Aroma is odd, a pesto/pine nut/marinara sauce. Taste is more pine nut, then a metallic harsh bitterness, and a hint of sourness in the finish. The finish was close to a fermented tangy greek yogurt. Ok, this was a drain pour for me. Hated to do it, but this was just a mess.

Draft. Pours a copper orange color with a light tan head. Slight hop aroma but nothing extreme. Medium mouthfeel. Caramel seed upfront with a hoppy presence in the end. Hoops donít "bite" but rather are a slow build in the end. Itís ok, nothing special. Some lace. A bit soap flavor.

Sampled at the 2012 American Craft Beer Festival. A good amount of citrusy and floral hops from this IPA.

This is a nice IPA that tastes and drinks pretty good but doesnít have anything particularly compelling going on in the aroma. The texture is a high point, nice and creamy w/ gentle carbonation. Overall, itís forgettable but Iíd say itís better than most forgettable beers.
