Pours bubbly, frothy white head with deep copper body. Decent caramel aroma with a little skunky hop. Flavor is mostly sweet, caramel malt with light dry hop aftertaste. Some plastic. Medium body. Okay stuff.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Greenbush Bar. Pours a rich ruby-amber color with a finger-thick off-white head, very creamy. Aroma of sweet malts, apples, cherries, toast, and hops. Flavor is malty, fruity, and sweet, with notes of caramel, mixed fruit juice, and just a bit of earthy hops. Light-bodied, with average carbonation and a mouthfeel that borders on malty and juicy. Finishes crisp and clean. Definitely sessionable. Easy-to-drink, straightforward beer with a cool story to the name.

3.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUN 22, 2011 A very sharp beer, like a clean cut. A bit heavy, meaning a few of these may weight you down over the period of a night.
Second rating, and I do not enjoy this. Lowering the taste, palate, and overall ratings.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Picked up a bottle of this at Ridgeview. Pours a rich amber color with lots of particulate floating about and thin white head. Aroma is of caramel, light fruit and mild hops. Taste is of sweet caramel malt, light fruit, mild citrus hops and light brown sugar. Surprisingly, this isn’t at all bad for a style that I generally don’t care for. Good job on this one.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle 12oz. - Poured dark very cloudy amber color with foamy beige head, also alot of small chunks floating around suspended in beer!!
Aroma - Smelled of caramel malt, overly ripe apples and cider.
Flavor - Alot of toasted malt, caramel malt taste. Also had mild cider flavor that I liked. Reminded me of a apple jolly rancher with nice bitter finish.
Palate - Medium bodied with somewhat creamy texture. Carbonation is lively and finish is bitter and short.
Overall - Surprised that I liked this beer. I would buy again, it’s cheap and has nice flavor!!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear medium amber, kicking up billows of of a yellowish beige head. Nice lace. Malt based aroma, some malt syrup with a bit of smoke. Flavors caramel, a bit of cider. Just enough hops bitters to make it not-exactly sweet. Basic clean session ale, non-complex, but nothing is off. Medium body.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at OF. Amber-brown color, thick off white head. Slight to full on Amber malt pungency. Spicy malt aftertaste with a touch of cream. Full of flavor. Medium to full bodied. Rather well done, pretty solid balance between the rich malt and soapy hop crispness. A quality beer, worth a try.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lots of grain in the aroma and flavor. Mildly bitter, but less so from hops than from dry malt, and there are almost no hops in this beer. Full palate for the style, with a light nut flavor. One of the best amber ales to be found anywhere, but like brown ale, there is only so much that can be done with this rather boring style.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This one poured a dark copper with a short lived head. The aroma was sloghtly sweet with a lightly carmelly or molasses like taste. Hops were faint, but balanced. These would be good session brews.
