What makes Resurrection unique is the 2 months of aging in fresh Bourbon Barrels, the barrels contribute a warm, smooth flavor that comes from the bourbon soaked oak. Louie’s Resurrection has a copper/amber hue with a sweet apricot and malt aroma. Caramel, vanilla, bourbon, and some roasted malt flavor are well balanced.

Tap at Busters. Clear amber-orange pour, deep and rich in color. Small dense white head. Aroma is malt with wood and a hint of bourbon. Really interesting taste - creamy malty with some wood to start, then sweet apricot pokes through and adds another layer of cool. I’m digging this.

Dark copper pour with very little tan head. Holy unexpected strong nose batman. Hot Buttered whiskey in the face. Vanilla, cherry cordials. Very desserty nose. Strong bodied and pretty booze heavy palate. The taste warms the ole cockles. Whiskey, warm buttered rolls and banana toffee come to mind. Notes of vanilla and sweet cherry cordial goo. A reasonable barrel aged beer. 3.3

Amber colored with thin to no head. Woody, oak, nutty aroma and cherries and hints of vanilla. Flavor is sweet with vanilla, cherry, bourbon, caramel malt. Sweet and thick finish with medium body, hides the alcohol well. I think letting this age a little to let the flavors meddle and mellow a bit would do this beer wonders. I'm just getting a lot of woody nutty aroma and aftertaste ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mild aroma of bourbon, vanilla, and molasses. Deep amber color with a thick tan head. Sweet malt an bourbon flavor up font. Almost too sweet. Calms down a bit after initial sting of sweetness. Notes of vanilla, charcoal, and bourbon flavors. Spicy bitterness begins to dampen sweetness on the finish. Finish has some alcohol burn, and some toffee-like bitterness. Medium mouth feel. Sweet bourbon is a bit overdone...not sure it mends well with the style.

Thanks to MeisterbrauMHB for this! 12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy copper color. Aroma is strong vanilla, cherry, and malt. Flavor is a mouthful. Sweet vanilla and cherry up front, with a strong malt backside. Also some alcohol aftertaste. Palate feels a bit thick. Overall, as my friend MeisterbrauMHB once said, it’s the kind of beer you drink and then pound the table after you’re done. It’s that strong. One of these is definitely sufficient.

Very Hazy Dark Red with a foamy head, good lacing and carbonation. Nose consists of bourbon, vanilla, caramel malts and some nutty notes. Flavor has some nice vanilla, oak and chocolate notes along with caramel and peated scotch. Body is lighter but thick and the carbonation is rather mild. Smooth and tasty!

Pours an amber/copper color with thin off white head. I was let down by this beer. Aromas of sweet malts with some hints of the barrels. Flavors of sweet malts, roast, and absolutely no evidence of barrel aging.

Poured from a bottled. Poured medium amber with a short, tight-bubbled beige head. The aroma picked up sweet bourbon, vanilla, and nutty notes with touches of charred oak accenting.. quite nice. The flavor found sweet caramel and nutty notes at the core, with seemingly sweeter bourbon and vanilla laced throughout.. a little overripe apricot and black pepper came through on the finish. Light-medium bodied with low-ish carbonation on the palate.. very tasty, but I could only enjoy it in small doses due to huge sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

hazy tan-amber, thin white ring and oily head. Heavy toasted grain nose, . Flavor is lightly buttery, ashy bitterness clashing with sweet grains, light tomato. Sweet burnt sugar finish. Tough to drink throughout, watery body no help.
