What makes Resurrection unique is the 2 months of aging in fresh Bourbon Barrels, the barrels contribute a warm, smooth flavor that comes from the bourbon soaked oak. Louie’s Resurrection has a copper/amber hue with a sweet apricot and malt aroma. Caramel, vanilla, bourbon, and some roasted malt flavor are well balanced.

Bottle. Cloudy copper pour with light tan head with decent lacing. Smells of caramel and slight bourbon smell. Tastes of caramel, brown sugar, toffee, and slight bourbon. Very good with a sweet aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lively pour with good head retention, effervescent, immediately has bourbon, caramel, charred woodsy oak aroma. Comes across the palate as a balanced amber ale. Taste is clean, moves from normal amber ale to bourbon finishing with banana caramel. Not as "bourbon-y" as some aged beers but very good. Head remains as beer warms becoming more complex with nice lacing on the glass. In short this beer tastes like another!

Bottle poured a clear orange amber with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of caramel, bourbon, light oak and light fruitiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of caramel, oak, light bourbon ans a hint of fruitiness with a smooth lingering caramel finish.

Bottle. Medium brown with a big khaki head and minimal lacing. Cherries, oak, toffee, alcohol and a light earthiness. Taste is dry with a light tartness. Body is lighter with a chalky, watery feel.

12 ounce bottle. Thanks Tim. Pours copper with a decent beige head. Aroma of bourbon, malt, and caramel. Taste is bourbon, malt, fruit, caramel, and wood. Kind of sweet, but the alcohol comes through more.

Dark amber pour with beige head. Aroma is bourbon. Taste is amber malt, bourbon in the finish. Bourbon flavor not as strong as the aroma. It blends well with the malt. Very tasty. 10.2% well hidden amongst all the flavor.

Tap at Busters. Clear amber-orange pour, deep and rich in color. Small dense white head. Aroma is malt with wood and a hint of bourbon. Really interesting taste - creamy malty with some wood to start, then sweet apricot pokes through and adds another layer of cool. I’m digging this.

Dark copper pour with very little tan head. Holy unexpected strong nose batman. Hot Buttered whiskey in the face. Vanilla, cherry cordials. Very desserty nose. Strong bodied and pretty booze heavy palate. The taste warms the ole cockles. Whiskey, warm buttered rolls and banana toffee come to mind. Notes of vanilla and sweet cherry cordial goo. A reasonable barrel aged beer. 3.3

Amber colored with thin to no head. Woody, oak, nutty aroma and cherries and hints of vanilla. Flavor is sweet with vanilla, cherry, bourbon, caramel malt. Sweet and thick finish with medium body, hides the alcohol well. I think letting this age a little to let the flavors meddle and mellow a bit would do this beer wonders. I'm just getting a lot of woody nutty aroma and aftertaste ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
