This Munich Dunkel is a perfect example true to style. You’ll find this delicious treat extraordinarily smooth, yet complex without being too heavy in body and flavor. You’ll find a mild hop profile with German Nobel hops and a perfect balance with all German specialty malts. Bob, the winner of the Home Brew competition at German Fest last year, took first place with his Munich Dunkel. Part of the award was to brew it here at the Ale House. We hope you enjoy this flavorful treat as much as we enjoyed brewing it!

In bottle at the brewery. Dark brown with thick head. Caramel aroma with floral notes. Sweet taste with a slight hop finish. Creamy feel in the mouth. Good dunkel.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Milwaukee Ale House – Downtown. Poured clear, medium amber with a sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet caramel and fruity notes (on the darker side with some raisins).. more fruit as it warmed up.. toasted earthy hop accents. The flavor found sweet molasses, chocolate, and dark fruit with accents of spicy and herbal bitterness.. sweet finish with black pepper-laden fruit. Lighter-bodied and sweet on the palate.. good feel and flow.. very drinkable, but just OK on all other facets.
