Cream Ales are true American styled brews. Mimicking European light lagers, the Cream Ale is brewed utilizing the top fermenting Ale yeast resulting in a more complex flavor and nose. Cream ales traditionally are brewed with a blend of malted barley and corn grits for a light body and golden straw color. A very slight hop presence helps round out this simple but refreshing beer.

On-tap, this pours a semi-clear golden yellow with a fluffy white head. The aroma is mild with hints of sweet malt. The taste is light, sweet and easy drinking. A nice substitute to Spotted Cow if you are looking for something different.

A corny beer, strangely enough. The scent and finish remind me of the canned creamed corn mom used to make, and my brother and me had to choke down, a half century ago. Outboard is tasty enough -- smooth and sweet -- but I donít think I could drink two in the same week.

[Bottle] Pours a brighter golden color with a small white head. Notes of corn syrup, grains and breads in the nose. White bread, cracker, dough, honey malts and light floral hops in the flavor. Lively carbonation. A very drinkable beer overall. Tasting notes from 8/2014.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a hazy Orange with nice white head. Aroma of grains and grass, maybe a little floral notes. Taste is moderately sweet and mild bitterness. Light to medium bodied with some citrus orange flavor, grass, floral and earthy flavors. Average to above average cream ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Glass. Light but with a touch of flavor, almost an apple flavor. Not bitter or a lot of "beer" flavor, a good intro to other light craft beers.

Light airy honey pour with zero head. The nose is metallic and a little red peppery. Citrus and lagery. Light medium body with a weak palate. Sticky sweet. The taste is rotting white grape juice, banana esters, bready malts and feet. Honey and honey suckle as well. Very very sweet beer. The taste has a chile hint with no heat, odd. It also has a smoky undertone 2.7

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2015 Bottle, slightly hazy amber with a small white head. Bready, grainy aroma with a little grassy hops. Flavour is light doughy malt. Light bodied and smooth with a very faint hop presence in the finish. Nothing earth shattering here but it is a very easy drinking refreshing beer.

12 oz bottle picked up in a variety sixer. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is a bit skunkty at first unfortunately. Otherwise pretty malty, I suppose you could call it "balanced." Sweet flavor, skunky stuff a bit off-putting. But okay otherwise.

Slightly Hazy Yellow, HUGE Soapy Foam Head. There is so Much Foam, That you might Need Three Pints to Fit Just One Bottle. Lots of Soapy Foam Lacing, Light in Aroma Department. Light Creamy, Light Peppery Spice Bitter, Belgian Like Finish. It has been a While Since Iíve had Spotty Cow but this does not remind me it. More Like a Belgian Ale. Mellow, Easy Drinker If You Donít Mind Excessive Foaming. Pretty Decent.
