COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This pitch black milk stout is teaming with rich roasted malt and coffee flavors. The addition of milk sugar tames these intense flavors with a silky sweetness. A very easy drinking, full bodied beer. This beer gets its’ name from the Milwaukee landmark, the Allen-Bradley clock tower, who locals fondly call “Polish Moon”.

Dark brown pour. Aroma is full of Rich, roasted malts. Flavor is a healthy mix of coffee, malts, faint chocolate and very faint hop undertones.

12 bottle pours a reddish brown with a tan head. Roasty aroma with some corn I’m afraid. Very light-bodied. Light roast flavor, some sweetness like shortbread. Just eh.

A Sweet Stout that isn’t very smooth. It has a sharpness to the carbonation that forces me to downgrade just a little.

12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a good off-white foam. I, however, did not like this one. The coffee/cocoa flavors are very overpowering and it is not easy to drink. The finish is unpleasantly dry. Others at the bar who tried this agreed with me. Just another over-the-top micro brew whose color promises a lot, but whose flavor leaves a lot to be desired.

Bottle from local restaurant. Pours black with a creamy tan head leaving some lacing. Aroma has some roast, cocoa and lactose. Taste is sweet cocoa, some lactose and some roast. Not too sweet, as the bitterness fights in. Medium bodied with no real alcohol presence. Finishes sweet and bitter, with lactose. Decent offering, not badly done for style. 13.4

Poured a very dark brow - nearly black - with a light beige head that quickly faded to lacing. Aroma was of roasted malts. Taste was also of roasted malts with hints of smokiness and coffee and a mild to moderate hop finish. Palate was decent. Overall, a very drinkable and smooth milk stout.

On draft at Milwaukee Ale House. The beer is black with a small beige cap. Roast and chocolate, slightly sweet. Really straightforward beer. Easy drinking and sessionable. Smooth on the palate, finishing with just a hint of lactic character. A tad sweet with some chocolate milk characteristics. One of the better beers from MKE.

On tap at the Milwaukee Ale House. Some nice roast malt flavors, but I’m torn because this is in no way a sweet stout or milk stout. It’s a good roasty porter. I’d give it above a 3 for flavor, but a 2.5 for style at best.

Dark brown coloured body with a muddy brown and ruby tint near the bottom , all with a super thick, frothy, seven centimetre tall brown head. Aroma of yeast, milk, cream, raisins, nuts, earth and some light pit fruits. Medium-bodied; Chewy creamy and milky flavour with a lot of lactic notes, some nuts and earth, but a lot of roasted malt flavour showing at first and a good deal of sweetness from peanuts and hazelnuts also around the corner. Aftertaste shows some deeper malty and earthy finishes and a rich sweetness from oatmeal and some lighter cherry and fruit flavours. Overall, a rather full flavoured stout or porter with a light finish and a very creamy flavour throughout - nice and well-rounded. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Binny’s in Chicago (South Loop), Illinois on 21-August-2013 for US$1.67 sampled at home in Washington on 30-May-2014.

Bottle picked up in northern Wisconsin - taste was good, a very respectable roasty coffee/chocolate flavor with enough smoothness to claim milk stout status, but lost major points for the ridiculous amount of head. Seriously, I could have filled 6 glasses with one bottle, so voluminous was the foam. Even drinking straight from the bottle the foam filled my mouth making it difficult to enjoy the flavor.
