This pitch black milk stout is teaming with rich roasted malt and coffee flavors. The addition of milk sugar tames these intense flavors with a silky sweetness. A very easy drinking, full bodied beer. This beer gets its’ name from the Milwaukee landmark, the Allen-Bradley clock tower, who locals fondly call “Polish Moon”.

A rich, dark, bitter beer full of flavor. I enjoyed this on a condo deck of the Milwaukee River. A classic.

Is this the same as their milk stout? I think it may very well be... still not too shabby.

Had this a while ago, but my rating for it vanished.... So, as best as I can recall, a very mediocre milk stout. Not too much to this one.

This stout pours a deep black like a stout should but is markedly lacking in the head department. The nose is nice though w/ a fresh, coffee-like roasted malt taste. This is complimented by some sweetness once tasted. Rich and full bodied w/ just slightly prickly carbonation. This is tasty stuff that really grows on you as it warms. It gets sweeter w/o tasting too thick. Might be a little sweet to be a true session stout but it invites you to linger over it a little bit.

Bottle poured a dark brown color with a nice one finger tan head that retained well. Aroma has roasted malt, lactic sweetness, light coffee, and chocolate. Mouth feel is on the light side of medium and there is medium low carbonation. Flavor brings in a bit more coffee, lactic sweetness, lightly roasted malt, milk chocolate, and the finish brings them all together nicely. They have nailed the style here and the balance of roast, malt, and sweetness is at the right level to let the lactic side do it’s thing.

Tasted on 4/10/12 from a capped 12oz bottle received in a BIF. Pours an opaque cola brown with an average tan head that leaves fairly thick lacing. The nose is classic milk stout with a creamy chocolate aroma, and a hint of nutty dark chocolate with some roasted coffee underlying. The flavor is mostly dry with the creamy chocolate up front, moving to nutty dark chocolate and a touch of roasted coffee bean bitterness. The body is full and creamy with average, very smooth carbonation, and a long creamy chocolate and lightly nutty finish.
