COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This pitch black milk stout is teaming with rich roasted malt and coffee flavors. The addition of milk sugar tames these intense flavors with a silky sweetness. A very easy drinking, full bodied beer. This beer gets its’ name from the Milwaukee landmark, the Allen-Bradley clock tower, who locals fondly call “Polish Moon”.

The aroma is the best thing about this sweet stout. The pour is thick and viscous, and has a rather foamy, tan bubbly head. The taste of this one is STRONG- an intense roasted flavor, which may have appeal to some, but didn’t to me, and I love stouts known for roast flavors. Polish Moon, we were just not meant to be.

12 oz. bottle poured into a CCB snifter. Dark brown, but not completely opaque with a quickly receding light brown head. Almost gone by the time I got to the table with it. Roasty, bits of chocolate. The smell isn’t overwhelming. What I would expect from a weak stout. The taste is immediately chocolate and coffee bitterness, giving way to... nothing. It has almost no back end flavor. Nothing gross or sickly, which I was a bit afraid of. Just nothing. Very watery, not thick at all. High carbonation makes it feel like coffee made from club soda. Nothing overtly offensive, just not worth drinking.

Dark black body, not much head, some lacing. Warm bready aroma, some funk. Taste is sweet with some roasted malts and a watery finish. Palate is on the soft side.

[Bottle] Nearly black pour with a nice cap of dense beige head. Nose of lactose, charred malts and dark chocolate. Chocolate, mild coffee, malted milk, molasses and a general roast character in the taste. Thinner than average. OK.

Tasted from bottle. Pours a dark brown almost black with thick khacki head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, lactose and a little skunkiness. Taste is pretty thin for a stout. Some sweet lactose flavor with mild coffee and cocoa flavors. Mild bitterness. Overall an average to below average sweet stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Dark brown with minimal head. Old milk and maybe some chocolate. Smooth and thin/watery.

Dark brown pour. Aroma is full of Rich, roasted malts. Flavor is a healthy mix of coffee, malts, faint chocolate and very faint hop undertones.

12 bottle pours a reddish brown with a tan head. Roasty aroma with some corn I’m afraid. Very light-bodied. Light roast flavor, some sweetness like shortbread. Just eh.

A Sweet Stout that isn’t very smooth. It has a sharpness to the carbonation that forces me to downgrade just a little.

12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a good off-white foam. I, however, did not like this one. The coffee/cocoa flavors are very overpowering and it is not easy to drink. The finish is unpleasantly dry. Others at the bar who tried this agreed with me. Just another over-the-top micro brew whose color promises a lot, but whose flavor leaves a lot to be desired.
