The Pull Chain Pale Ale is a fusion of English and American pale ale styles, with bitterness derived for an unusual and innovative hop schedule in the recipe. American cascade hops and British East Kent Goldings account for Pull Chain’s citrus and earthy flavors and aromas. They’re softened by malty undertones.

Awfully bitter brew from Milwaukee Brewing. Clean finish, not much aftertaste.

Dirty golden brown, light tan head. Musty, stale earthy. Slight honey. Bitter, some sweetness. Lighter body, watery. Quite acidic. Meh.

Surprising aroma of caramel and sweet bread. Mild notes of hops. Orang amber in color...decent tan head. Sweet malt up front, slightly rich. Caramel is light also, then an average bitterness creeps in. Some notes of citrus in there, but faint. Finishes with a harsh bitterness, somewhat balanced with sweetness. O.k. but nothing special.

Draft at the brewpub. From notes. Citrus and floral hops with a grainy finish. Meh, drinkable but not too special.

Hazed amber with a thin tan head and a ring of lace. Aroma is dusty and pale with floral hops, caramel and mild noble hops. Taste is middle of the road sweetness with caramel, floral hops and some vinous notes. Mildly bitter a bit dull.

Light amber pour with off-white head. Aroma is light spicy hops. Taste is a little watery-malt and hops flavor rare present. Has some taste but it is light in flavor. OK lacing.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2013 Tasted on tap at Milwaukee Ale House. It was clear amber with a thin white head and even lacing. Mild citrus hop aroma and a hoppy taste with a bitter finish. A nice pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma of toast, pine, citrus. Clear light amber gold with white foamy head which fades moderately quickly leaving ample lacing. Strong hops flavor, earthy. A little sharp on the finish but overall not too bad.

What you would expect a pale ale to be, no bells or whistles included: a mildly hoppy aroma, bitter taste and dry finish. The malts are hinted at but not obvious.

Pours golden orange with minimal frothy head. Aroma is very citrusy and full or earthy tones as well. The taste is astringent and finishes with a bit of malty sweetness. I really enjoy the mix of the styles and think it makes for a delicious beer Either this or hop happy is my favorite of the variety pack so far
