24 oz. tall boy can but I’m being civilized by pouring it into a glass. What can I say, I’m slow on ratings, and low on funds, and this is $1.50 at the gas station. Pours the same old urine yellow with fizzy foam in half the glass. Sickly sugar smell--but I have to give it something for not being infected. Damn that mass production. Admittedly it’s at least not laden with corn sugar, but there’s not much else there. Nothing close to malts or hop bitterness. So I may be rating this lower than some beers that actively offended me, considering it’s at least something to drink. But this is just how I feel about it today…

Originally reviewed: 8/17/09. Poured this into my pilsner glass. Pours a crystal clear pale yellow with plenty of bubbles rising up, and a huge frothy white head capping it off. Retention is weak, but there is some sticky lacing. Not bad. Smells of lemons, orange zest, grass, and cleaning solution. The mouth is very thin and weak. Not bite at all. This is horrible. Flavor is of weak corn and mellow lemon. There is nothing to this at all. I wasn’t expecting much, but this still found a way to leave me wanting. Ugh. Avoid.

This is hands down best bang for buck beer.... Extremely cheap, and efficient..... For the price it can’t be beat..... The fact that it tastes so smooth for what it is blows the mind....

Pours a very clear golden color, no real head retention. The bubbles are the largest I have ever seen in any kind of carbonated beverage. Smells intensely adjuncty- unappetizing grain and cereal split through with promises of suffering to come. Yep, those bubbles are pretty large. Paradoxically this beer manages to be both overcarbonated and flat. It is as if the carbonation is unequally distributed in the liquid. Some serious macro black magic here. Tastes largely like the inside of the aluminum can it came in. Other ’flavors’ include powdered grain cereal and hints of grain alcohol. As awful as this product is, it still doesn’t approach the Lithuanian radioactive waste I had a few months ago.

Tasted from pint can into shaker. Poured a crystal-clear straw color with tall, persistent head and a little lace. Aromas of corn ethanol, slight alcohol, no real malt or hops. Flavor was mostly neutral with a very mellow maltiness and mild hops balance. Light body, spritzy carbonation, dry lager finish. Harsh and offensive, but perhaps less so than I expected.

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2012 Great macro, love the taste and price. A trip back in time to a great beer at a great price. My staple, easy to drink and a good taste. I walked 1.5 miles in a snowstorm, 26 degrees. In a snow-storm and back with a 30 pack stapped to my back on payday. Gave a new meaning to the phrase beer run. Car was not an option. Ya’ll rerate this beer. Beast Ice forever.

Enjoyed directly from 24 oz tallboy - Pros: 5.9% prominently displayed on can / Cons: About everything else. Look, if you are going to go cheap domestic, why not add the extra alcohol content? I can’t discern the difference between this and the multitudes of other big bev pales, so go big! Finish is noticeably tin / alcohol byproducts.

Big-ass can. Clear pale yellow pour, big pure white carbonated head that actually clings to the glass. Stale corn and water all over this mutha - this glass is cold, but man, this would really suck at a little warmer temperature. Bong-able, shotgun-able, drain pour-able.

Just as bad as its brother the beast, only this one comes with more alcohol. Alcohol is really noticeable in this. Tastes sour, maybe I got a bad can.

Off white head, golden yellow, medium carbonisation. Smell of corn, a bit of straw, taste corn, a bit skunky. Lack of bitterness.

Tastes very similiar to milwaukees best but is more alcoholic, good for getting the job done after a long day.
