the old beast ice...ive had a lot of bad experiences with this one, not so much because of the taste but because of the intoxication that inevitably follows. This beer has a very aggressive pour foaming up very quickly (granted it disappears just as quickly.) It smells like alcohol and nasty old grains. The taste...isnt bad it goes down smooth I can see myself enjoying a few of these between paychecks while watchin baseball or hockey. The beer really doesnt have much flavor but it definitely isnt offensive overall it gets a solid 2.7

Not as horrible as I expected. Not much of an aroma just a hint of bread. Looks like apple juice not much head. Not much taste just a hint of malt and yeast. Watery feel with a skunky palate.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a yellow color with no head no matter how many times I’ve poured this. The smell had a mild grassy/iced corn aroma. The taste followed the nose with a metallic sort of off flavoring. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a sessionability that should be there but it’s hard to get past the taste. Overall, I can’t say that I liked this beer. For the style, it seemed like it was just a tad under par.

Can @ Presidential Suite. Picked this garbage up at a gas station somewhere in Bloomington, IL. Clear golden pour with a white head. Typical smells of corn, apple, and grass. A bit watery and just sort of sweet. Not as bad as I’d anticipated. Just sweet and corny. Some grain and apple juice, a bit of soapy bitterness. Mildly grassy. Sort of twangy.

24 fl. oz can. Golden in the glass, high carbonated, short living foamy white head. Low sour grain and mash on the nose. Tastes like not so sweet limonade. Maybe malty hints in the background. Cheap.

Can during RBSG 2014 Grand Tasting at Schlafly Tap Room. Aromas of skunk, citrus, lemon lime. Tastes of skunk, booze, lemons. Light body with a dry finish.

24 oz. can that I only had a little bit of from backlog notes 07/08. Pours a pale straw yellow color with a thin white head. The aroma and flavor is surprisingly boozy (not as much as Natural Ice) with the typical corn notes, sawdust, nasty graininess, light tart apple. Just no reason for this unless a macro drinker is trying to get there faster.

946ml can into a Supermug; served cold. Aroma: This beer has a corny, lightly sweet aroma. It is basic and has no hop aroma. Appearance: This beer has a clear, pale gold body with a foamy, white, head. There is some decent lacing. Taste: Sweet malt, no hop flavors at all. Not bitter. Generic flavors. Palate: Watery, light body. Abrupt finish. Overall: Just generic, adjunct-y lager beer. Light on flavor, light on body.

Can: Clear gold with a thick, white head. Corn, honey, grain aroma. Taste is barley malt, slightly sweet. Body actually has some heft to it. Truly not bad for what it is.

can. Golden with one finger head. Sweet with some light corn and mild hops. I want to hate this, but it’s not that bad. Perhaps I’m just in a more forgiving mood than usual.

24 oz can, bottom stamped JUL2814. Nose lightly sweet with heavy corn dust. Clear pour is deep golden with healthy carbonation and a sudsy bright white head. Watery body is strongly sweet, cereal grain with floral character and a (actually pretty nice!) bready finish. Crisp and slightly refreshing. There’s some corn here, yes, but the floral hops are more the focus, and despite the ’hangover taste’, there’s also a surprising feel of freshness. Could do a lot worse!
