(660ml bottle thanks to JJFoodie) clear amber with soapy edge bubbles. Nose of caramel, cooked pears, woody, barrel, maple, rich, and tequila. Taste of tequila, alcohol, barrel, maple, a bit of charred wood, and a well carbonated body. Soft finish and a nice linger. Interesting beer.

Big botte. White head on hazy dark amber. Aroma encouragingly of hops and if I’m looking a bit of tequila. Flavour picks up a lot from the tequila so that the tequila has a stronger than normal influence in a barrel beer. I would have liked a stronger malt to compete with the tequila. Makes me think of a beer cocktail. Tequila and amber beer. Light vanilla is more from the wood than the beer. Exciting that Mexico has craft brewers exploring more. Beer has a bit of a light toffee candy edge. I kind of like it but keep thinking what if there was more dark malt.

Pours a dark golder yellow with white head. Nose is grapefruit hops. Taste is grapefruit, citrus hops, not over powering not much of the oak or tequila. 660ml bottle $5.25

660ml brown bottle. Dark gold with haze. Big white head with a rocky top. Creamy lacing. Nose has citrus, slight piney woody note and toasty malt. In the mouth there is a lot of toasty malt, bit of caramel. Hoppy finish, citrus and a bit of green piney hop. Woody barrel notes at the end, hint of vanilla and tequila, dry finish. Medium bodied, lively carbonation. Good balance between the tequila barrel notes and the ale. I was worried this might be too boozy, but it’s very drinkable. A nice surprise.

Half gone already... Medium amber with floaties, big, bubbly light tan head that messes my glass. Vanilla ice cream and mellow grains, I can image the tequila effect, faint Xmas hard candy, mellow yet pungent foul evergreen. That’s the smell and dis be da flavour: grains in a different light with this woody finish, vanilla, cigar or something, soft, bit of toast, faintest of zippy spice. The bitterness shows up quietly near the finish. Soft mouth feel and an odd aftertaste. Pretty good and mellow and pleasantly tasting. Thankfully there is no sign of the 7%. Enjoyable.

650ml bomber pours a golden color with a 2 finger white head that leaves some fantastic lacing on the glass. Aroma is lights grains and grassy hops and some tequila. Taste is cereal grains with some woodiness and a moderate hoppy bitterness. This brew is much better than I can desribe here. I was shocked that this was not as sweet as many of the liquor infused brews that I have tried. This was in fact quite good and very tasty.

Bouteille 660 ml. 7%.

I became such a fan of this beer instantly, purchased at Los Mantiales Liquor Store for about $65 pesos,it is also the future for Mexican beer export (matured in Tequila Oaks)the beer its own pleasant in flavor, generous at spicy hop aroma and palate ,also a cloudy appearance and that unmistakable throat-burn Tequila aftertaste that also doesnt lose its digestf powers in this particular beer.Great

Pours a light amber beer with thin head with regular retention, the brewer claims it´s an imperial ale, but clearly it is not, it lacks the color, body, aroma and complexity of an imperial ale, and also the y need to mention what kind of imperial they are trying to make. It has a low intensity aroma with notes of caramel, orange citrusy and tequila, it has a medium to low boy, medium to low hop flavor and medium to low malt flavor showcasting the same notes as the aroma. Decent microbrew.
