355ml brown bottle. Clear golden brew with a fat white head. good lasting lace in the glass. Nose is sweet and caramelly. Taste starts with sweet caramel malt, then a bit of grain. Finishes with very light hops and trace bitterness. Aftertaste has caramel, grain and leafy, slightly metallic hops. Medium body, average carbonation. Certainly has English pale ale characteristics, but overall poorly executed. Probably don’t need to revisit this one...

Bottle at Chino. Deep copper brown pour. Malty aroma. Taste is also very very malty and only slightly bitter - maybe the English-ness? Not anything special and too deeply malty for me.

Botella, from the local Siete Once. Bright copper. Thin head. Aroma is all sorts of caramel. Body is quite soft, and has a subtle EKG taste but mostly has caramel. Not much bitterness to speak of. Bland, forgettable, but I did get it at the 7-11 so I didn’t have high hopes.

Tap. Copper with tan head. Aroma is light and sweet. Fruitloops. Taste is similar. Toffee. Not the best take on a style I don’t love. Eh.

335ml bottle. Fridge temperature. Pours clear and rusty ambar with a high head. Smells like english hops and some malts. It feels good in the mouth, hoppy and malty. Much better than expected.

Brown copper body and stable head. Looks nice. Dry hay like malts, some industrial caramel, simplistic, clean yeast. Not so modern but it’s more the slight butter undertone that disturbs me. Twisted yeast that’s clean yet present, lager yeast in higher temperature? Some fruity notes develop when warming up, bitterness only in the middle. (Bottle at The Beer Box Cancun)

Bottle sample @ Edmonton Craft Beer Festival. Similar in appearance and aroma to the Vienna, but maybe a little more tea-like or earthy. Still predominantly watery caramel with a bit of buttery character. Just not thrilled with these guys at all.
