Bomber from TJ’s. Aroma of chocolate and roasted maltiness. Decent stout. Some roasted coffee and a bit of chocolate. A little hop presence as well.

Not the smoothest stout... but jeez...for a 2 buck bomber...i will buy this again.. Pretty suprised... Was expecting crap since the other 2 trader joes beers i bought were just "drinkable"
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Bacterial (83) - White Bear Lake, Minnesota, USA - MAY 30, 2012
$3 for a bomber - is this total crap?? I am happy to report 'No'! Thin tan head over a very dark black body. Aroma is chocolate with some mild burnt malt. Mouthfeel is thin, carbonation is good - taste is chocolate malt roast, chocolate bitter and a nice stout undertone. Not too shabby!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Nuffield (3090) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - MAY 27, 2012
The best of the three beers that I bought in this line from Trader Joe’s (only skipping the American IPA). It has a pronounced chocolate note with a very tempered finish. That one over one woman at the picnic I was at, who was concerned about the bitterness of dark beers (a concern I answered by noting that there is no correlation between "dark" and "bitter"). My wife also remarked that this would go particularly well in a stout float. Could be. Good value at $1.99 if your standards in stouts aren’t extraordinarily high. Bottle.

From Trader Joes. This not a bad stout, especially for the $2 bomberr. Low carbonation and thick, rich palate. Flavor is moderately roasted grain and coffee. Flavor has some coffee and light chocolate, somewhat sweet.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Drake (5231) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - MAY 22, 2012
Sampled from a bottle from Trader Joe’s Glen Allen, VA. Pours a dark brown color with a dark brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, bitter and astringent finish. The taste is rich chocolate notes, roasted malts. Medium bodied.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 esjaygee (2628) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Black with ruby lowlights and slowly dissipating brown head. Aroma of cocoa, chocolate, dark and roasted malts and slightly sour. Somewhat on the thinner side with chocolate, sugar, cocoa powder and roasted malt. A bit of a peppery bite with a sweet artificial chocolate finish. For two something, it’s not bad.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 patrick767 (2843) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 16, 2012
bottle - Pours very dark brown with an aroma of roast malt and chocolate. The flavor has ample cocoa taste with good hops balance and a medium to full body. It’s not a great beer. For this type of beer I’d take a Young’s Double Chocolate first, but this beer is good and the best of the four Rhinelander beers I purchased.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 bluejacket74 (718) - Reynoldsburg, Ohio, USA - MAY 12, 2012
22 ounce bottle. Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours dark brown/black with a half inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. The aroma is light, the beer smells like roasted and grainy malt, bittersweet chocolate and some coffee. Smells more like grain than it smells like chocolate. The brew tastes like slightly tart dark fruit, roasted malt, cola and a bit of chocolate. For a beer called Chocolate Bunny, I thought there would be a lot more chocolate noticeable. With that being said, it’s not a bad brew. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit slick and creamy with moderate carbonation. For $2.99 a bomber, I can’t complain too much.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 BrewDad (3705) - Olympia, Washington, USA - APR 28, 2012
Dark brown in color, clear with a thin head. Tons of chocolate in the aroma and flavor. This was a very tasty stout lots of chocolate and coffee flavors. Rich and thick with a subtle dry finish.

This one was monikered Boatswain Chocolate Stout. It starts with a dark brown, veering to black, body characterized by cola carbonation and a poofy, airy chocolate head. Milk chocolate cocoa nose. The body is dryish and speckled with coffee grainyness with some smidges of chocolate elbowing their way to the table. The flavor is considerably rougher than the aroma indicates. After further aeration, the roughness melts away a bit to allow puffs a cocoa puffs to seep through.
