I almost feel like I should be ashamed for liking this as much as I did, but as sweet as this is and as much as it may resemble a Coke, it still just tastes good to me.

2 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Beer looks like a glass of coke. That was possibly one of the worst descriptions ever. Aroma is almond with some mystery sweet fruit witch I can’t place, so I shall call it dragon fruit for the sake of naming something. Beer feels flat watered down and thin. Almond vanilla possibly toffee can all be tasted in this mostly roasted malt flavored liquid. The sweet taste of this brew lingers a long time. Yet another beer I’ll never want to drink again.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled. Poured deep cola brown with a short, creamy cap of tan head. The aroma picked up artificially-sweetened caramel, chocolate, and molasses accented by some vanilla.. almost like a beer soda. The flavor found very sweet molasses and chocolate notes at the core, again with a little vanilla on the edges.. bitterness was very light and earthy.. finished sweet with a bit more of the molasses and vanilla. Lighter-bodied and overly sweet on the palate, but no serious flaws or infection noted.. maybe I had a "good" bottle of it.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
In the bottle from HyVee sampler pack. Pours a very dark chestnut brown with a medium to large light beige head. This has a slightly soured aroma of spoiled milk. Very sour flavor. I think that there some bad batches of this floating around as this one is tart and unpleasant. The roasted maltiness that it should have is far masked by a strong sour thinness. Not a drainpour, but close.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Lots of roasted nuts and caramel on the nose. Very powerful and distinct. Strong brown colour with a red hue. Sweet malt coates the mouth. Layars of crushed walnuts mixed with couscous swim in the sweetness. There is a tangy background that borders on annoying but holds firm at adding another dimension to body. A nut-dominant finish with a cozy blanket of soft malt parades with length and strength. A very solid craft beer that completely surprised me. Found it in a bargain bin at a small liquor outlet.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Dark brown pour with a minimal brown head. Sweet and sour aroma. The taste was too sour for me. The malts seemed unbalanced, too dark, and the alcohol seems too low to give anything to cover up.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light brown body, tan head. Aroma is rich in malts, but slightly sweet. The flavor is initially heavy in malts with slight hops and a hint of coffee. This isn’t bad. For a "Bock", this does not leave my mouth with a dry taste, which is a plus.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle and served in standard pint glass: Pours deep cola brown with a fading off-white head and some lace. The aroma has notes of walnut, caramel and bready malts, hint of grassy hops, some corn and veggie esters along with a dash of lacto sourness. The taste starts malty enough but there is also a twang that is not wanted. Nutty and bready with a hint of sugar. The mouth feel is watery as expected. Okay enough and the best of the four I tried but it is hardly even an average brew IMO.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12oz bottle. Deep toffee brown, with a decent head. Sweet sugary malt aroma. The taste is reminiscent of a bock, twisted through an adjuncty macro death machine. Tastes quite like a malt syrup mix, no real body but lots of syrupy flavor. Some brown sugar notes, watery sweet finish. Drinkable by third world standards, but still horribly unimpressive.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Found this one bottled in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Clear, medium brown pour with a fizzy tan head, cerealy malty taste with a sour finish. Not too impressive.
