It tasted to me like a brown ale, very nice and sweet in tatse. NIce foam although not so high features after a while.

Sampled on draught at the GTMW ’08. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates nearly clean with a thin white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, some fruity character of hard pitted fruits, pears and a touch of apple. Taste is light to medium bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of light caramel malt, some fruity pears and citrus zest. Finish is a tad watery with a pear and caramel aftertaste and a mild bitterness.

Bottle. Reddish amber with a very thin head. Dry, fruity aroma with a touch of malt. Taste is lightly malty up front with a zesty citrus backbone. Tingly carbonation with a body on the low end of medium. Crisp, dry lightly bitter finish. An average beer but it will do in a pinch.

Pours a clear amber with little white head. Smells a bit of butter and alcohol. Taste is similiar, but a bit more harsh.

Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and a hint of fruittiness with a smooth lingering carmel finish.

I took a tour of the Minhas Craft brewery in Monroe, WI in late Summer 2010. As a parting gift for taking the tour they gave away free bottles of beer and Swiss Amber was one of them. Swiss Amber pours a dark golden color. It drinks with a heavy taste like a good beer but swallows like cheap beer. Very little after taste. Something new to try but probably not a regular purchase.

Bottle. Yep .. it’s amber all right. Fizzy. Super malty. Bit of a fruity flourish, but moderate and middle of the road all the way. Clean and made without imperfection, but neither outstanding in any way. (#5164, 7/6/2013)

Dark Brownish Amber Color, Medium Short Lasting Head, Light Thin Lacing. Faint Metal Caramel Aroma. Sweet Malt, Caramel, Slight Metal. Standard Minhas Product, Not Good but at least bearable. Pass It...

Amber to copper in color. Taller cream colored head. Caramel and light toasted grains in the aromas. Hints of whole grain sourdough bread. Somewhat nutty flavors dominate. Some herbal hops and a bitter finish. Linger remains bitter and dry. Pretty much another average at best amber.
