| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Nov 1, 2009 bottle - Pours hazy yellow with a fizzy, quickly diminishing white head. The aroma is of grainy malt with some fruity ester notes. It has a very sweet malt flavor with bubbly carbonation and a light, watery body. There’s no discernible hops. Like probably everyone else who’s rated this beer, I have no idea why it’s called a farmhouse ale, but no matter what style it really is, it’s not very good. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 26, 2009 Pours a pale golden, slightly hazy with a small head after an aggressive pour, the head races to go away and what sticks around floats atop the beer is a spotty fashion. The aroma has some bready notes with a very mild vegetal thing. The flavor is dry and mildly bready with some very muted fruitiness and is altogether boring. fidelis83 (713), Clinton, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 5, 2009 Pours slightly hazy straw gold with a 1 finger, creamy white head that fades to a ring pretty quickly. Aroma is wet hay, dried grass, light fermentation, light floral/planty hops. Flavor is sweet grass, hay, thistle, light cereal grain, baby corn, a little apple peel and a nondistinct fruity note. Finishes fairly clean with light apple, a hint of bitterness and some light earthy mineral notes. Palate is light bodied, dry and crisp, with a medium carbonation level. Pretty good for the style, though it is pretty weak and somewhat basic, it doesn’t have the odd, greasy palate that alot of Golden Ales seem to have. RSRIZZO (1362), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 29, 2009 From a 12 oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) in a Shaker at 41°. Color is a pale gold with a light haze. Carbonation is very active with a small soft white head. Aroma is sweet with a little gain and maybe some vanilla. Taste is soft and sweet. Starting with a light body it goes down smooth. Finish has a light corn taste with a hint of hop spice and a very light bitterness. After taste is clean with a soft feel. Not bad for a basic Golden Ale. Narnad (689), Wonder Lake, Illinois, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Sep 25, 2009 Pours a golden color, low carbonation, thin white head that fades to nothing. Aroma has a hay note, light sweetness, faint apple and Saaz notes. Flavor is overall sweet with some apple and grape notes, honey and overall bland. Density is okay but the carbonation is not there to help this brew out. Overall could be a bit better if the carb was higher but just a bland beer as a whole. | 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Sep 12, 2009 Bottle in a taster pack. 5.2%. What on earth is this? Label says farmhouse ale, and I pour a cloudy yellow witbier looking creature into a glass, with a cap that disappears far too quickly. Aroma is barley, butter, and corn. Taste is sickly sweet, apples, grains and mild honey. No yeast and no hops leave this beer without a stylistic foot to stand on. Not that it’s worth defining... | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Sep 8, 2009 12oz bottle 9/8/09-Pours a hazy orangish yellow with a small white covering for a head. Aroma of butter and spices. Taste of the same with a bit of sweetness and honey along with more butter and spices. This light bodied beer is not bad but definitely not a farmhouse.
