weitz15 (67), West Lafayette, Indiana, USA Apr 10, 2009 Blonde pour. Citrusy aroma with almost a floral presence. The flavor is initially mellow citrus followed by a very sweet, honey-like flavor. I was surprised by the sweet flavor complimented nicely by citrus. Very clean, crisp finish. badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Apr 4, 2009 Golden color with a thin head. Sweet honeyish aroma and fairly strong floral hop aroma. Slightly sour wheat flavor. Lemony. Kind of slick feeling. BBB63 (4199), La Porte, Indiana, USA Mar 27, 2009 Bottle and served in standard pint glass: DAMN IT, I was expecting a Saison or at least a Biere de Garde and not a flaccid blond ale. Well it is golden and clean with some head but little lace. The aroma has notes of noticeable Diacetyl and corn, some walnut and dusty yeast ester (must be a house character, arrgh). The taste is well, very minimal and what is there is simply not that good. Butterscotch and corn, yippie! The is a note of hop bitterness but I feel bad for any hop pellets used in this beer, they deserved a better life. Well, the mouth feel is a tad more refreshing than the pils but still not that clean however. Blah, taking one for the team. Cole (266), , Alberta, Canada Feb 28, 2009 Aroma of apricots and prunes. Hazy yellow color. Fruity Malty Flavor and good Carbonation. And it comes in 8 packs. Not bad. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Jan 11, 2009 12oz bottle. Golden yellow color, white foamy head. Citrus aroma combined with a bit of earth, some corn. Putrid flavor. Tastes like tea made of tortilla chips. Where’s the salsa, or should I eat some dried tomato chips to go with this liquid corn. dumped down the drain, gross. chainman (103), Ontario, Canada Jan 10, 2009 Not a bad beer...simple, sweet tasting...a bit of citrus hiding behind a powdery feel up front. A well-priced beer with some nice complexity to it! One of many beer I find tastes better from the bottle than a glass. cblado (146), Wisconsin, USA Jan 4, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a cloudy goldenrod, with slight white head. Aroma is mostly butterscotch, with some grass and yeast as well. Flavor is more butterscotch, some sour malt, and a bit of olive. But mostly, bland. Palate is oily, a somewhat lively. Overall I wouldn’t bother with this again. noncaloric (602), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jan 1, 2009 Updated: Mar 9, 2009Pours pale yellow, with a short-lived white head. Full aroma, corn, nuts, and sweet tea. Flavor is very mashy, a lot of cereal here, but it doesn’t work well with a lactic sourness that is also present. Medium body, only light carbonation.
