meisterbrauMHB (53), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Dec 30, 2008 Very pale with head that disappeared quickly. Odd flavor that is hard to describe but, overall not good. Use it to make beer bread. RAYBOY01 (1813), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 21, 2008 Very pale and unappealing urine yellow, not much of a head. The nose is sweet corn. The flavor has a sweet corny kind of note but with some odd tartness in the background. Like it might have been sitting around awhile in less than ideal conditions...or maybe that s the style they were shooting for...not knowing, therfore I cannot say! Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Dec 19, 2008 Bottle from dm9831. Thanks. It pours a clear yellow body with a short-lived white head. It smells of honey gone bad, more like candy corn. Feels like oily water spiked with chemicals on the tongue. The flavor is an off honey with canned corn and an odd sourness. I have no idea what the brewer was going for here, but I hope this was not the intended goal. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 16, 2008 S7L4TF42O9 LAZY MUTT Mans best friend. Sweet aroma, almost charming honey olfactory. Looks nice, pours pale clear yellow then it clouds up from gunk on the bottom of the bottle. Swirling visual surprise. Very little carbonation on the initial swig. Not real bitter but certainly has a peculiar flavor. Comes across like many cheaper pale lagers. Has it’s own unique flavor character. Haylike at times but not exceptionally prominent. Finish is acceptable tho blandly interesting and intriguing. Thought it was a saison from the label but tastes more like a unique processed pale lager Tmoney99 (4661), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Dec 7, 2008 Bottle at Longnecks, Wilder, KY.
Poured hazy golden amber color with an average white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Light sweet yeasty aroma. Medium sweet yeasty flavor and small sweet grainy finish of short duration.
Overly sweet and a below average presentation of a golden/blond ale. nuplastikk (1161), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Nov 30, 2008 12oz bottle. Hazy, cloudy golden-yellow color. The aroma is straight up butterscotch. In your face sugary sweet. Farmhouse? Yeah, right. They should call this Double Diacetyl Ale. Not actually bad so to speak if were advertised and intended to be a butterscotch beer. This one is a joke, exceptionally poor. In no way, shape, or form a Farmhouse Ale. dm9831 (1167), Monee, Illinois, USA Nov 17, 2008 Updated: Nov 18, 2008hazy yellow, slight quickly disappearing head, not very appealing looking. nose of musty malt, grain, maybe a sniff of corn. flavor is grainy/corny, with a hint of musty malt. watery mouthfeel, musty dry finish. a pretty boring brew...it doesn’t taste yucky, it just tastes kinda pedestrian. bottle from an 8-pack from ’liquor depot’ in monee. pkbites (309), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 24, 2008 Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a bright white head that dies a bit. I can’t place the aroma. Very sweet. Sugar cookies? Butter rum? Taffy? Homemade waffles? Either way, I REALLY like it! A perfect 10 for aroma! Flavor is buttery, yet a bit sour. But not tangy. Finish is a gritty, but after-taste is mild. Shame on you all! Lazy Mutt is under rated!
