Lazy Mutt is an unfiltered ale, cloudy and pale in color. The off-white foam slowly disappears to reveal a slight citrus aroma. A citrusy palate gives way to a light malty sweetness touched by a hint of corn. Bottle conditioned ale made with Canadian 2 row malt and Galena and Tettnag variety of fine hops.

Sure, I was taken in by the "thereís eight beers in this six pack" marketing. Itís value, I guess. It was light, a bit amber color. A straw nose, with some basic light hops. Nothing too complex. The taste was pretty straightforward: some hops, some malts, but nothing that stood out. Maybe Iíd get it again, but not sure.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2011 Bottle. Light yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is slightly malty, taste is mildly citrus. Not enough of anything to be terribly interesting.

Pours a hazy amber/gold with a thin white head. Smells of sweet sugar, some grassy hints, spicy. Tastes dry and vegetal with some dry hints on the finish. Iím not sure what this is trying to be.

Bottle. Pour is light golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma is of hay, crisp malt, and stale hops. Flavor is very similar and earthy with stale hops and a crisp, light and dry body. A fairly clean brew, but could use a few tweaks.

Bottle pours clear light yellow with white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma faint and yeasty. Taste a bit watery and mediciney with a tingly slightly sour finish. Palate a bit sour and fizzy. This beer is pretty popular around here. Iím guessing you could put down a lot of these pretty fast since there isnít much to it, and it is a change from the more common beers but not unpleasant.

Pours clear yellow with a smallish white head. The aroma is dry grains with hay and just a hint of hops. The flavor is very seltzery with an off putting artificial sweetness that really kills it for me. The aroma was a little promising, but ultimately a disappointment.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow with minimal white head. Visible carbonation rising through the beer. Aroma is weak with notes of wet hay. Flavor is weak as well with a slight sweet fruit notes and overly sweet grains.

Dark, clear pale yellow, white quick foam. Aroma is a strange fruity, sweet malt. Taste is odd spicy, estery, lightly sweet, heavy and syrupy.

Tasted at Beer Dabbler event in St. Paul. Flavor was better than expect. Nice and bright, better than other simple golden ales I have tasted.

bottle - Pours hazy yellow with a fizzy, quickly diminishing white head. The aroma is of grainy malt with some fruity ester notes. It has a very sweet malt flavor with bubbly carbonation and a light, watery body. Thereís no discernible hops. Like probably everyone else whoís rated this beer, I have no idea why itís called a farmhouse ale, but no matter what style it really is, itís not very good.
